| Pot also still stays in your system for a month or more after you've stopped smoking it. Which means that any urine tests can detect it very easily. I know a few people who smoke it. And these are mainly bums who are living either in the streets or with or off others who smoke pot. They either can't or won't find a job. Of course, I don't associate with those type of people. And anyone who is about to light up a "joint", as they call it, I get away from them. Even if you don't smoke pot, like 2nd-hand smoke from cigaretts, you'll STILL be affected by it. Only with pot, if you stay in the room or house long enough where it is being smoked, you'll get a contact. |

| the wicked one | Sounds like you're implying pot users are always unemployed and homeless or at least get. Personally I'm not smoking pot but I know many people doing it, and neither are they unemployed nor homeless. Quite the contrary actually. Managers, Teachers, MDs and even a minister. And all of them are doing well both in their jobs and life. If there would be a link between the use of pot and failure, I doubt the Netherlands would still exist, lol. ![]() |

Again I'm not saying it's 100% healthy for you. Most drugs aren't as bad as people make them out to be though -- er at least most psychedelic drugs (dxm, salvia, shrooms, etc). Marijuana just happens to be one of the safest out of all of them -- caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco are all much higher on the "things that are bad for you list" than marijuana. Quote:

I merely meant to mention the side issue that there are other aspects/effects to consider than the purely physical. Heavy users (by which I mean those who smoke habitually throughout the day - as opposed to recreational users), do, from my observations, experience changes in their life such as impaired social skills. As one person mentioned, it is definitely not something for everyone, and not advisable in the USA where employers are allowed to (and do) spot check their employees for drug use whenever they like. But use of marijuana is pretty harmless, when used in moderation (i.e. recreationally). And, some people can and do take it heavily/habitually without any negative consequences too. As for those physical effects, it's long been my opinion that the safest way to consume it is to cook with it and and eat it.

Usually with u/e individuals, they got a lot of time on their hands, and if there not looking for work, they're in the streets. I know many able-bodied people who CAN WORK BUT CHOOSE NOT TO. I'm also u/e, but it's not because I don't want to work. I've been looking for a job since last May! I've since filed for disability because of a heart condition. But I'm not hanging on the streets with nothing to do.
