Default I work at home now....

I am now doing all my work at home, in a little corner of my room. Its interesting not being supervised and having the liberty to do almost anything. Im not so sure about how time goes by wether its faster or slower. Im working right now actually, not paying attention to my work, and being bored.

How many of joo work at home?

I wish I did. I do have a lot of freedom in how I work, much more than most, but I still have to physically go to our place of business.
For just an instant, have a glimpse, a vision, of life through my eyes. It is a staggeringly joyous perspective, a view of how each person's choices can make their own life better. It is a vision of the possible, of how things can and should be.

Lol I have been doing so bad. I think they might bring me back to the office if my work continues the way it does. As you can tell im not really enthusiastic about keeping this job, they demand so many hours and BS overtime that is not overtime pay and i cant choose when. So I could care less about the company, as of right now, im just stealing their money.

I don't really think I want to work at home right now, I have to get an education first.

What's your story with tilling the funds at home? may I ask what it is you do in your title to have this leisurely position? sounds like a dream to me, I am worn out from work.

Yep I work from home. Couldn't bear to have it any other way now that I've been doing it for several years. Working in an outside job is such a pain - the main thing I recall from the last time I did it was getting sick almost every week, which I put down to traveling on public transport into the city each day.

Fortunately for me my work is something I'm interested in. If it was something I wasn't interested in, as seems the case with the original poster, I guess staying disciplined would be difficult.

I agree with kevmartin. I've been working from home for a couple of years now and the fact that I love my work is what keeps me disciplined. Also the fact that I'm self employed and if I don't work I don't get paid

I would like to work closer to home, but not in home. There is something to be said about getting up, and going to work, even if it is only a mile away.

There is a building that used to be a grocery store about a mile away. I've thought that it would be a great place to put a cube farm and rent the cubes out to businesses. Provide x amount of square feet per cube with a choice of a workstation, either Linux , Mac or Windows, or just a network link. Instead of everybody commuting to a central location, like downtown in the city, people could just go to the nearest facility and work from there. You are still going to work, and you still have others around you to fill that social need. Put in showers and lockers, and people could bike in.

Sadly, I don't have the money to capitalize this.
