| Devils advocate | dont pop em. i asked a nurse about this once, since i had a bad one too... here is what to do. out a band aid on it to keep it from having to much pressure on it. if it build up too much pressure inside, take a sterile needle (hold in candle fire) and make a very small hole, let a little come out and then put the band aid back on. |

| damn, i wish mine had blood in it. well i was at work and i was touching it. It was freaking me out cause there was to much liquid in there, i came home and poked a hole in it with a neeedle and squished most of the liquid out. It was clear and sticky.... but when i dabbed it with cotton it looked yellowish. mmmm puss. blah! well now it looks cooler and doesnt hurt anymore. i guess all that puss was moving around and hurting the edges of the skin around the blister, i guess there was too much pressure. |

| Devils advocate | yeah, too much is not good either, just make sure to not infect it, use a sterile needle... and to the coolness on the blood, it just looks like so much fun if it is red on the inside, hints of black. only thing is that i fist thought the black is dirt, and that would have been bad. ah well, was fun, and bloodstained skin is always a neat thing... |

| How to Treat a Blister This site advices that you pierce the blister and drain the fluid. I always blisters when I develop them. I also make sure to keep it clean and covered with a clean bandage. |

| Medically it doesn't matter if you pop it or not. It's not popped now so you know how uncomfortable that is. If you pop it then the flesh underneath will sting from the slight wind every time you move it and it will sting if you touch it with most anything besides stainless steel - including a bandage. Eventually it will scab up if you pop it and remove the dead skin. leaving the dead skin is not dangerous but it will touch the raw flesh underneath and consistently sting for a day or so. |

| so to update this...my blister has long since gone but left a scab with the most wimpiest scar tissue on the planet, i wear a ring there and sometimes i would reach in my poket and the ring would kinda pinch it a lttle with my jeans and it would bleed on the inside. its the stupidest peice of skin. |

| When I was about 13 or so, I accidentally set my hand on top of a hot soldering iron. I had a huge blister that covered 1/4 of my hand just below my thumb. I of course played with it and popped it repeatedly until it finally healed. I had no scar. |
