Whatever you read is wrong. You can dream anything, and if you have ever had a lucid dreaming expereince you will know for sure you can see colours.

Perhaps they meant black and white as night and day many times your dreams have to do with something on your mind and going on in your life. What they mean by black and white is right or wrong. sometimes a dream and paint you future or destroy it. Dreams are a powerful thing.

Yeah that is a good point. I personally have strong views on what dreams are and I have been playing around with inducing lucid dreams and OBE's. So I can't see how a dream could ever have a limit.

I only dream in black and white, I only dream cause I'm alive
I only dream in black and white, to save me from myself

My dreams have always seemed to be in color. Occasionally, color is one of the vivid details that I remember of the dream.

Some of my dreams have have extremely vivid colors and resolution that exceed what I see in real life...

I remember one time I was floating in a river and a hippo was nearby ... it was like someone had cranked the vibrancy of the colors to 200%. The greens were very glowing ... and the water and sky glistened with blue crackled sunlight. It was so weird I became aware I was dreaming, and then woke up.

Also, another dream, I became aware that I was dreaming, and wondered why people said that people only dream in black and white. So I concentrated, and was able to change the dream surroundings from color to black and white, and back. I did this a few times ...

My guess is that people watched a lot of black and white tv back in the day, and this tranlated back into the dreams they remembered and based the theory on. Or, perhaps some dude just made it up

Now I'm jealous. I hardly ever remember my dreams. Sometimes I can hang on to them a little when I'm in that semi-conscious state you get when you're waking up. But once I'm fully awake, poof, they're gone.

Yeah ... but I don't have lucid dreams very often ... maybe only a few times. And if I try to control the dream too much, I wake up after a minute. It's not hard though to control if you are aware you are dreaming ... just concentrate on what you want to happen.

That makes sense; I usually never go to sleep before I'm really, really tired.

my dreams are always color and i can most of the time control whats happening, i noticed that when i have very elaborate dreams , which are always super abstract, i can change the outcome of it, sometimes if im not happy with the way a dream is taking place i knw for a fact i go backward in a dream and kind of start over. This happens to me very often. Also i can remember everything if i wake up naturally, but if something or someone wakes me up then ill forget them.
