How do you think about Japanese, is it hard to you? If yes which point is hard to you, Japanese kanji, pronunciation or grammar?

Pronunciation and grammar is fine once you get used to. At least on a level you can talk to people without causing a WTF?!-gaze.

| i was born in the dutch speaking part of belgium but we moved to france when i was 1y old and we stayed there for 13y so i learned french as first language. i've learned dutch when we got back to belgium. i had english classes at school but i've learned most of it watching movies and arguing on the net ![]() i'd like to learn spanish, it sounds nice and it's spoken a lot around the pale blue dot. i would also like to learn sign language. it must be handy to be able to speak to someone from across a street or a noisy club without having to SHOUT. well, if you can find someone who understand it ![]() |

| I don't like to study English, it's so hard to pronounce. Happily I just only have a few weeks left on my last English course at school. I study German too. It's a language that i like better. It's more logical for me and easier to pronounce. Even if study languages is funny or not, I think that it's a must in todays world. I don't think that so many people had understood me if I typed this post in Swedish ![]() |

| I was intended to open a similar kind of topic. ![]() I started learning english at the age of 10 maybe, so it was a long learning curve, I passed my language exam when I was 17. Here the teachers put emphasise mostly on the grammer, so if you want to expand your vocab, you can start by reading books, watching movies, and writing in english on the net. At the school we learned 'oxford' english, so first it was hard to understand the movies, but I kept practicing, and nowdays I only use english subtitles, if any. I like english very much, but my mother tongue, hungarien is of course closer to me. I like it that it's a little unic in Europe, hard to learn it, and very expressable.I started to learn french a year ago, but lost interest, but I do plan to pick it up again. Oh, and I learned latin at high-school for a second language, but only some words and grammer remained, mainly from biology nowdays, as I study that. I would like to learn more languages too. There's a phrase that you are as many people as many language you know. ![]() |

| And what's your mother tounge? The french grammer is really hard, yes, that's why I stopped it I think. But I not hate it...I dislike german instead(hate is a strong word). I don't like the sounding of it, really harsh. |

| I was trying to learn French for a while and thought I was doing ok. Then, I lived in France for a couple of months and nobody could understand me... I hope to try again someday though. |
