| Too few options for developing countries. I bought GTran CDMA Mobile phone to use with Laptop in 2005. At that time the Data Card was too costly. Now my Laptop is broken and Mobile instrument which I bought for Rs 6500/- ($=Rs 45 approx) is also broken. I bought a chepest CDMA mobile instrument (just a phone not USB device) just for phone calls for Rs 845/-. This company sold 1 Million such instruments in one week. Crazy people from India. |

| Less than 3 miles from the sea | I have a Mobile phone, it's an mp3 player, but I don't use it. It has a camera but I don't use that either. I use it to talk and text, the only advanced feature I use is the RSS reader it has. I use a PDA with built in GPS not as a PDA but just as Satnav. ![]() I have a cheap mp3 player with a cassette adaptor so I can play my tunes in the van at work. And of course my laptop, it never leaves the house! It's used in the living room, saves the arguments with the wife. About how much time I spend hooked up to the internet. I'm sat here now on the sofa watching TV and chatting to Julie while I type this. ![]() |

| Eligible for a custom title | I use my Sony Ericsson v600i for talking and texting but nothing more. It has a mp3 player included and a camera but none of them is really "usable" (16 MB disc space, low quality pictures, ridiculous calender). So I use a mp3 player, a camera and a laptop, each for its purpose. I don't think I'll ever buy a better one because I just don't need it (have enough hardware, you see ).![]() |

| I see the Fnords. | I've got a Nokia N800, and I love it. It runs Nokia's Mameo, a Debian based distro, and it's not a cell-phone, which was a plus for me. I don't need another phone, just a wireless internet device. It will pair up with your blue-tooth enabled phone for internet on the go if you have a data plan. For just an instant, have a glimpse, a vision, of life through my eyes. It is a staggeringly joyous perspective, a view of how each person's choices can make their own life better. It is a vision of the possible, of how things can and should be.

| My only mobile option is my Samsung cell phone. It is my life! I wouldn't know anyone if their numbers weren't in my phone. Also I'd never know what I was doing if the reminders it stores didn't tell me where to go and when. I have an old Casseopia PDA lying around somewhere gathering dust. Only used to run the Java vocabulary software I wrote back when I was learning Japanese. I've had 2 laptops (still have both), but the monitors always seem to die in the year after the warranty runs out. I'll never buy one without an extended warranty again, even if it is a rip off. Oh, and I just got wireless broadband connection I can take with me all over the island...if I had a laptop with a working monitor ![]() |
