It is now official!

StarCraft II

Blizzard has just announced Starcraft 2.

Starcraft was one of my personal favorite Blizzard Games (along with Diablo and Diablo II.)

Comes with spiffy new 3-D graphics, new physics engine, new units and capabilities for the Terrans, Protoss and Zerg. The game's capable of handling hundreds of units at once, which is great when you really want an unforgettable Zergling rush!

/me rushes to retrieve his Starcraft CDs and fire them up in WINE to prepare...

That has to be easily one of the most awesome trailers I've ever seen... "hell, it's about time". The marine is you (me) the gamer! You've been imprisoned by boredom and reality for so many years, and finally - after nearly ten years - you're being released into the world of Starcraft to have fun again!

not to brag or anything, but i was an exceptional starctaft player. Played online soo often, and placed 4th in a tourney once..lost though, 4 player ffa, i was eliminated, all 3 attacked me..anyway,really looking forward to this! Not looking foward to calculating the amount of time im going to waste playing it...

i was a revolutionary RTS game. It was very well thought out and balanced. The gameplay itself was very strategic, and with the right people playing, intense. Back in the day anyway.

OK then, my friend has a copy, I guess I could borrow it from him. But how well does it work on Wine/Cedega?

wow, I really enjoyed playing Starcraft some years ago! I remember I had a problem with zergs because they made those disgusting noises... anyway it was a great game, but I prefered Diablo II

it was so adicive! Does anyone of you remember those looong and original names for every weapon?

ill be going of to college in a year, and then i will need a new labtop (i hope)

so ill make sure it can run starcraft II on best grafics... YES

and the trailers, man...
cant wait to get my hands on a mothership and fly around killing everyone...
