Default Game recommendation

Hi there!
Recommend me a nice game with multiplayer, that is played by persons over 20 y old. Currently I play WC3 DotA, but I noticed that most of my oponents are kids.
The game should run on TravelMate 2493NWLMi (possibly Linux version).

Nope. It is too intensive for me. Isn't there something more peacefully and intelligent?

I don't know what kind of game you're looking for, but Wesnoth is a really good turn-based strategy game. It has relatively low system requirements and is open-source; has been ported to Windows and Linux at least, I'm not sure about Mac.

excuse me, what?

I don't want to offend you as I know you're dyslexic.

I don't understand the "tr" which seems to be an abbreviation.

I'd say plase Rune scape between 18:00 and 20:00 eastern standard for adults (I'm not sure if it's compatable though, my mom is the computer geek in the family)
Well, it seems that foreboding has fallen over the calm world that I call home. ZS forums and I are now best buds. (I think that zombies have less cred than nukes as a doomsday, but slightly more than aliens...)

I am sure you will like Wurm Online:
Wurm Online
It's a pretty nice 3D MMORPG with some new ideas, and since it is made in Java, it runs well on Linux too
It needs at least 512 MB of RAM, and a GeForce 2 class or higher graphics card.

well there is counterstrike source, large commuinity, but rather violent...

other than that, bfme2 has an older player base from my experience, and its freaking challenging...

also, there is an old game called NETSTORM...it has a multiplayer setup, older players, and is quite strategic.

Well I'm a mature gamer, and so are the rest of the guys in the clan I'm in, most of use are in our 40's.

We play FPS games but given our age and experience we play in a more tactical way. We have to because some 14Yo with lighting reaction times will get the drop on us individually. We work as a team, this 14Yo will be facing 4 or 5 of us coming around the corner. I don't care how fast your reaction times are! We work as a team, we win through because of it.

There is also the social side of clan life too. This is a much over looked aspect of gaming. You can often get this from role playing games, where you can have a place to chat. Once you become a regular the others will get to know you.

That sound really cool Pendragon.

I just began playing Vanguard. It is buggy, and requires a hell of a rig to run it, but the playerbase is great.

Anything that requires team work will often generate the forming of clans. We are currently playing Battlefield 2 and it mods.

I love fps games and I have played many over the years. My point is more about the benefits of joining an organised group. Also age should not be considered to be a barrier to computer gaming.

A bunch of friends playing together can have fun with almost any game. To my way of thinking the game is less important than the people you play with. It's got to be good, but with the right people it doesn't necessarily have to be great, to have fun...

For example next weekend we are going to have a fun night. We have found this crazy mod for BF:2 called Battlepaint. It's crazy because it Care Bears v Telly Tubby's with paintball guns. Could we play this full time? no way. It's limited and our interest in playing it will soon wear out, but for one night it will be an absolute scream.

Click this to watch a promo video for Battlepaint and you will see what I mean YouTube - BF2: BattlePaint Trailer

Urban Terror is amazing, runs on Linux and Windows.

I also love civilization 2, and mario kart 64 (in emulation of course).

Another very fun game is San Andreas Multiplayer, but it doesn't play on Linux (TEARS!).

Good Luck.
