I love fps games and I have played many over the years. My point is more about the benefits of joining an organised group. Also age should not be considered to be a barrier to computer gaming.

A bunch of friends playing together can have fun with almost any game. To my way of thinking the game is less important than the people you play with. It's got to be good, but with the right people it doesn't necessarily have to be great, to have fun...

For example next weekend we are going to have a fun night. We have found this crazy mod for BF:2 called Battlepaint. It's crazy because it Care Bears v Telly Tubby's with paintball guns. Could we play this full time? no way. It's limited and our interest in playing it will soon wear out, but for one night it will be an absolute scream.

Click this to watch a promo video for Battlepaint and you will see what I mean YouTube - BF2: BattlePaint Trailer
LOL @ Battlepaint!

The game should run on TravelMate 2493NWLMi (possibly Linux version).

My Now Playing list:

Space Rangers 2 - a mash-up of genres, it's greater than the sum of it's parts

Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar - best 4x space sim ever

Dungeon Lords CE - They finally worked out all the bugs and re-released the game as the Collector's Edition. I'm on the fence. It's got some good and bad points. It may grow on me, or it may collect dust on the shelf. It's too early to tell.

X-men Legends II - best played multiplayer

Shadowgrounds - This is a greatly under-appreciated game in an under-appreciated genre. A top-down shooter, best played multi-player.

Heroes of Might and Magic V - best tactical rpg on PC in a long time
For just an instant, have a glimpse, a vision, of life through my eyes. It is a staggeringly joyous perspective, a view of how each person's choices can make their own life better. It is a vision of the possible, of how things can and should be.
