| Less than 3 miles from the sea | I have always preferred the PC. There are several reasons... I remembers when computers were cool and consoles played pong. I have never gotten on with controllers. Too small, stupid little joystick things and not enough buttons. Whenever I have tried to play with them it involves lots of wires trailing across the living room floor. Not good if the wife wants to watch some telly. Every game I have tried on a PC that was designed for a console as well has been rubbish. All of the games I have loved on the PC, when they make the move to a console they have to be crippled or reduced in some way. The first console that I am remotely interested in is the Wii more for the controller and the way it changes the relationship between the player and the game. I also like the idea that they are not trying to set the world on fire with the graphic but concentrate more on game play. |

| Commentator | The SNES is the best system I have. The PS2 is a close second. I have not decided if I am even going to buy one of the new ones. If I do it will most likely be a Wii. Last edited by jjbean : 05-29-2007 at 01:15 AM. Reason: User cannot type. |

| the PC. There is no competition here. Especially if you add in all the console emulators. Games on my PC: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Quake 2 Evolved Urban Terror Mario Kart 64 Super Mario All Stars & World Dr. Mario Tetris Civilization II Chess Sudoku FreeCell Spider Solitaire Gargoyles (for GameBoy) Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit Mortal Kombat 1-4 Super Smash Brothers Fallout 2 1942 Super Metroid Contra III Bust a Move Monopoly 64 Snow Board Kids 2 Probably some others I'm missing. Over all though, that list easily dominates any console in existence today. Also, Playstation 2 and Gamecube emulation are getting closer every day, so expect this list to keep growing. Why do people bother wasting money on a new console? Mario Kart 64 is still probably the best game of all time anyway, when you've got four peeps around. |
