...is an awesomely awesome game. I have it for xbox...but I need some help. If you have started playing the main quest, but haven't gotten to clockwork city, or if you haven't played have the intention to, stop reading. I'm basically going to give away the end of the game.

I just saw Sotha Sil all mangled up, and I go to fight Almalexia, right? Well I'm having problems beating her. I've gotten her down to about one strike within death, but it being my first time against her it was total beginners luck. I'm a red guard-Spellsword level 33, so I've been using Adrenaline Rush (+50 to all useful stats), I have a lightening shield potion, and several barrier scrolls, the most noteworthy being 9th barrier and 6th barrier. Also, being the tank I am, I have 14 of the +10 Speed elixers that drop there (I used the rest in the dome of Kasia). Usually I have best luck by summoning a Golden Saint, because the crazy lady focuses on the Golden Saint - even if its only for minutes - its long enough for me to regroup and cast a few buffs.

Okay, so I try to 'kite' her around the room, because I usually can out run the killer spell she casts, that drains about half my health (I have 242 health, 72 magicka). My problem is that I have 1 pot that does 40 health over 5 secs and 9 pots that do 20 over 5 secs...usually I stack the 20/5 ones. Anyways, that doesn't leave me a lot of room to mess up. I have hearth heal, and I can get in six casts before my magicka runs out, and I have a few restore magicka pots in case that happens. Unfortunately I have only two or three useful restore health scrolls.

Long story short, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I use Trueflame on her (Chrysmere seems to do barely any damage), and then run away really fast around the room. Are their any spells she won't resist fully? Do the barrier scrolls stack? I have a very nice armor build (armor rating is 157), and none of it is out of repair. I was thinking about using the Keening, because my short blade skill is high for a misc skill, 93, and it has all those buffs attached. Any suggestions? thanks! ^_^

It is a great game. I didn't have any trouble with her, but then I was quite a bit higher level than you when I faced her. I was a heavy armor orc and all I did was bum rush her, completely ignoring her spells and just hacking away. I think it took me about 3 licks to kill her with TrueFlame. If good ol' hacking doesn't cut it, then I don't know what to tell you. I've never been much of a finesse player... I would try casting the golden saint, and then jump her like a duck on a june bug. Don't try to spell her, and don't cast hearthheal (it takes too much time, when you could be wailing on her) just jump to your menu and drink some potions at the appropriate time and see if you can kill her before she kills you. Do you have any resist magika potions or enchanted gear? That might help.

Isn't Morrowind the third in the series/installment?

Tribunal is an expansion for Morrowind. There's another, Bloodmoon, I think. I have it both for PC and Xbox, but it's on my (very long) backlist still...

Okay so get this, I try all this amazing ideas and stuff, and when I finally just go in with my adrenline buff and a lightening shield I beat her no problem! What is up with that? I guess finesse isn't needed lol. I didn't get it to three shots with trueflame...it was more like twenty, probably as a result of my level I didn't swing it very hard.

As for enchanted stuff, well I still have Wraithguard on. It just looks too ridiculously good to take off, and Spirit of Indoril is my shield. Almalexia drops an awesome sword by the way!! I was so happy I beat her into the ground Thanks guys.

So now I'm just running around and beating my quests for like the Morag Tong. I want to see what happens when I get the whole Sanguine set
