The only rule is that it has to be something that is at least considered a normal food for humans somewhere in the world. It can be a rare delicacy, but it has to be something that somewhere in the world people do not think it is weird to eat. One item per post. Let's collect all our un-favorites. Me? I just can't bring myself to eat escargot (snails).

ooh! i love the bizarre food guy's show on the travel channel. his trip to morocco, matthew, was particularly delightful. it made me want to eat a lemon like an apple (which i did do in a film in college). anyway...i'm reluctant to try anything with spit in it. it would have to be mighty hallucinogenic for me to do so.

Foods I cannot stand to eat. In the lovely state of GA, there is a thing grown here locally called a Vidalia Onion. The locals of the area seem to think that Vidalia Onions are sweet in taste. I could hardly ever imagine a vegetable that when cut will make you cry. As such, raw onion. Cant touch it, and wont touch it in any form.

Course I say that, and then I turn around and admit that I love Haggis, something that no normal individual will openly admit. On the flip side. Uni. the Sushi bit called Uni. Cannot stand to even look at the stuff, much less eat it.

I'm right there with ya. What I find odd is a meat-eaters perspective of which meats are good and which are unacceptable. Like tuna vs. dolphins. Oh deity forbid we catch the dolphin in a tuna net. But no one cares about the poor tuna. Also, I can't stand large portabello mushrooms. No fungus should be allowed to get that big.
