Default A message from Voice

A message from Voice: I sent the following message to the site admin of JoinDiscussion, but as one of the site admins is the subject of the message, I am not confident she will forward it to other admins. Thus I am posting it here so the admins and moderators can evaluate, and also so other users are aware of the situation at JoinDiscussion. I believe there are some serious integrity problems going on with the administration of that site. If you have a means of contacting these admins, I would appreciate your forwarding this message to them. Thanks for considering my request. Quote: I request that this message be forwarded to and evaluated by all administrators and moderators of the site, such that all can decide whether they believe this ban is justified. I was banned from using the name "Voice" for the following comment because the site admin mmccarthy viewed it as a personal attack. I started this thread to register a complaint about her conduct, and was banned for giving her feedback about her conduct, in the Forum Feedback section. Is this a personal attack, to simply give an administrator feedback that she is one the worst admins I have personally encountered, and explain why in non-offensive language? Here was my so-called "personal attack"... --- By your own admission, I have never broken a rule on this forum. So why do you keep repeating yourself, aside from the fact that you're dying to ban me so you can feel a power surge? You are without a doubt one of the worst site administrators I have encountered, and I've encountered some real doozies. Obviously you just view it as a way to play at being 'the controller', instead of seeking to genuinely benefit the forum. And you still haven't explained how discussing the dangers of eating steak doesn't belong in a thread about eating steak. That is ridiculous, and probably merely reflective of your personal views on the subject. More likely, you just followed me from the other thread to see how you could interfere with any conversations I was having elsewhere. Isn't that so? This forum is decaying the way most forums do, and it usually revolves around "site administrators" who can't bear to have anyone discussing anything. --- In my opinion, a site administrator should be able to accept intelligent criticism without simply permanently banning the person for bringing up the issue. If a forum member cannot give simple feedback on the administration of the site without such non-offensive language being labeled as a personal attack, then clearly you are not interested in maintaining the integrity and equity of the administration of your site. I also wish to point out that I revealed I was gay the day before this occurred, and it was in this thread that mmccarthy started hounding me. I do not know if this is what set her off, but I have never encountered her before, even in more heated discussions than that one, so I find her motivation suspect. In addition, during this discussion one of admin mmccarthy's apparent friends chimed in, told me to STFU (shut the f--- up), and called me a crybaby. Yet in her view, this language was neither abusive nor a personal attack. Yet my saying she was not a good site administrator was. After banning me for my "personal attack", she then suggested that the entire thread where I raised the issue of her abuse be deleted. At first I thought she was just an inexperienced moderator who could use some guidance from her fellow moderators. Yet from the way she handled being confronted about her approach, I now believe she clearly should not be any form of administrator. I request that this message be forwarded to and evaluated by all administrators and moderators of the site, such that all can decide whether they believe this ban is justified. I request that my account be reinstated. I have never broken a rule on this forum, never even received a warning, and never knowingly will do so. But because I pointed out her obvious heavy-handedness, she banned me (apparently to prove I was correct), labeling simple feedback on her administration skills as a personal attack. Thank you for your response. Voice
