So we tested this one way of promotion using digg. It was using rjwood's thread. Here is the digg link: (we got like 10 diggs, but i think it was all members)

Digg - How To: Buy a New Car

I'd like to hear some ideas on how we can utilize these services out there to get traffic and posting to some of our discussions.

I think using digg or stumbleupon is a good way to get more traffic.

The problem with this particular "dugg" was that it's not the usual front page stuff of digg.com.

Usually crazy/cute cats, Ron Paul, Anti-Bush, anti-wire-taping do have the greatest success, oh and I almost forgot the Linux and Ubuntu stuff because of the big promotion of digg.com on planet.ubuntulinux.org

Honestly, I have invited people here, but they declined because after taking a gander, they were insulted by some posts made toward me. Besides my wife, 5 children and my dog (kidding about the dog, he died last week. He was actually willing to sign up, guess he didn't like the brand of food I fed him), there have been friends that declined.

I did not post that to cause problems with anyone in particular, I'm simply stating a fact.
