I just wish that the liberals in the forum were as far to the left as you are to the right. I would knock on there doors too. These people are not liberals, if the are, because you say they are or a certain type or amount of liberal, they are simply people being boxed and packaged by an aggresive fatalist zealot Your definitions are out of whack man. these are people... I am a conservative in many ways, you do not define what that means with your propagandzing mission of conversion. Last edited by Iammyaspectofus : 07-26-2007 at 07:46 PM.

@ Rjwood, I'm open for suggestions - tell me what you have in mind (PM or Here) and if its in line with what I'm curious about I'll be happy to change it. @ Whoever said I'm extreme right LOL at you. I'm basically a "classic liberal" or maybe a moderate conservative. There's probably at least half a dozen issues where I part ways with the majority of conservatives, and more where I take a more moderate approach.

For just an instant, have a glimpse, a vision, of life through my eyes. It is a staggeringly joyous perspective, a view of how each person's choices can make their own life better. It is a vision of the possible, of how things can and should be.

| What good is your question if I am asking it? Figure it out yourself. If you cannot see the fallacy in your question, I cannot help you. I do agree with qtwerp, but your question is too contrived. But that is so you, rasczak. |

If anyone else sees what he is talking about, please help me out and tell me how the question is "wrong, weighted, or contrived." This is how DU's rules read. I'm just asking if anyone here would prefer something like this: Quote:

| I guess I'd have to leave if conservative posts were banned. Most people are far too liberal for me here, anyway, but that's what makes it interesting. Quote:

Conservatism in the United States comprises a constellation of political ideologies including fiscal conservatism, free market or economic liberalism, social conservatism,[1] bioconservatism and religious conservatism,[2][3] as well as support for a strong military,[4] small government and promotion of states' rights.[5] Generally, one could claim that European conservatives tend to be more moderate on many social and economic issues, than American conservatives. They tend to be quite friendly to the aims of the welfare state, although concerned about a healthy business environment. However, some groups have been more supportive of a stricter libertarian or laissez-faire agenda, especially under influence from Thatcherism. European conservative groups often see themselves as guardians of prudence, moderation, history and tried experience, as opposed to radicalism and social experiments. Approval of high culture and established political institutions like the monarchy is often found in European conservatism. Mainstream conservative groups are often staunch supporters of the European Union. However, one might also find elements of nationalism in many countries.

| I don't think it was a "weighted" question. I think it was a rhetorical question. Rasczak is too smart to think that anybody would actually say they don't want conservatives to be allowed to post here. He's making the point that he thinks many liberals are too aggressive here. At least, that's how I see it. Maybe I've misinterpreted. I'm sure Rascy will correct me if that's the case. |

That said, I have an account there, and now and then I'll go in and post something completely outrageous, pretending to be a far left cucoo, just to see if anyone will step up and say "wait a minute, I wouldn't go that far." But the hilarious (and pathetic and sad at the same time) thing is, they never do, they just cheer each other on. For example, one time I claimed that cement should be outlawed and done away with because its bad for the Earth, and people just sucked it up and agreed. One of them even claimed to have read all the studies that backed up this position. What a riot.
