Since yesterday pages take between 60 to 120 seconds to load until these small windows come up saying..."stop script or continue"....something like that. (Swiftfox or FF).

It's getting impossible to visit the site. What's happening? What am I doing wrong?


BTW: Where is everybody? Thnx.

Hmm. I haven't experienced this. I'll give sdkub a nudge to look into it.

Please post a screenshot of the error that is occurring for you. It might help us debug it.

Well screenshot.png upload failed...
I've never been able to upload any image on SD.

xyz: Try this. Go into your 'User CP', click on 'Edit Options', then scroll down to 'Number of Posts to Show Per Page' and change it from "Forum default" to either 25 or 50. Scroll the rest of the way to the bottom and choose "Save Changes". Finally, restart Firefox. That should take care of the unresponsive script boxes from popping up.

Perhaps the forum default could be changed from 1000 posts per page to something more sane, such as 25, 50, or 100?

Thanks that helped. Pages load faster and the unresponsive script doesn't show anymore.

I think I have found the problem. It may take a little while to get it fixed, though, as the repair requires server access, not just vBulletin admin access. Hopefully we will have things up and running soon, once sdkub has a chance to login and take a look.

Yeah. I get the same thing. But only on those threads that have like hundreds of replies but they all load on one page. Firefox freezes for a few seconds then comes responsive again, then it freezes again for a few seconds and when it becomes responsive again I get the message about the script. If I click stop script everything is fine.

Reducing it with The Gimp makes the image too blurry to see anything.

I've modified the allowable size to just under 200kb. Maybe we can make that larger yet in the near future.

You can try again. I'm not sure if the other issue that I mentioned earlier has been taken care of, though, so it may not work yet. Please give it a shot and post here if you have trouble.

I'm testing it now as well...

EDIT: nope, still unable to attach.

I don't get that, and I tried it at 50 posts per page, as your screenshot shows.

By any chance, is this an older/slow computer?

You could try going into about:config and changing dom.max_script_run_time from the default of 10 (seconds) to something higher or back to the default if it's anything lower than 10s.
