| I dunno about this, but: A feature I've seen on my forums before is the ability for members to choose which country they come from in their user CP, and the forum software then shows a small flag of their country next to their username with their posts. I've always liked the idea. It adds a little bit of colour to the forums, and makes identifying posters' locations much easier. On a forum I used to manage, I coded this feature; it was an Invision Power Board (IPB) forum. IPB and vBulletin work on very similar code, so I don't think it should be too hard to do. It requires another field to be added somewhere in the user CP, another field in the member database, and then code on the threads themselves to insert a flag next to the username. Anyway, it's just an idea for the future. If everybody else is opposed to it, I'll just shut up. Thanks! ![]() -Dave |
