5/13/2007 - Added digg integration
If a thread is submitted to digg.com you can use bbcode to have the digg button show up in your post to encourage more digg's by doing:

Our host had some mysql server issues this morning for about 30 minutes. Service has been restored.

I did some cleanup to the political sections.

Merged Society Talk with Civil Liberties they were pretty close to the same. I also added TV & Movies under entertainment and moved Sports under entertainment.

New theme!!

Also, users with over 100 posts can now add a custom usertitle to their profile by going into their usercp.. enjoy and thanks matthew for setting this up.

Did some forum reorganization to make the site flow better. Also we got a new logo

Our hosting provider seems to be having some network issues today. I hope it clears up soon.

We have merged in another forum with this one today

Welcome all the new users hopefully they will start posting and saying hello soon. You will find some interesting topics scattered throughout the forum that have been moved..

5/25/2007 - The provider I use to host this site (mediatemple) is really having lots of issues. I plan to move the site to my dedicated server sometime over the weekend this will improve site speeds. Just a FYI to all.

New section for forum feedback and help.

Also, there will be some downtime within the next 24 hours. I am going to be moving the site to its own dedicated server.

There were a few glitches with the move but things are working again.

The forums have been sold. Don't worry, they aren't going anywhere, but things will change a little bit. None of the staff have changed at this point, but we do have one new admin, sdkub.

The forums front page has been redesigned. The goal was quicker access to the posts, and to minimize the number of subforums. It's a long list, but hopefully it is clear, easy to understand, and enjoyable for everyone.

It's official. The gallery and the arcade are no more. Sorry.

There is some talk behind the scenes of some new forum contests, though. Hopefully I'll have something to announce on that before I go on vacation. If not, someone else will make an announcement before too long.

Speaking of which, I'll be taking a vacation soon. I hope to pop in occasionally, but it is probably safest to assume I will be gone from Monday, July 30th until Wednesday, September 5th. I'm traveling internationally for all of August, leaving my business in the care of others for that time. These dates give me a little buffer room for packing and jet lag.
