| Just getting started | I never know what to pick up from the cocktail list: give me some tips on your favorite ones, include the ingredients and the recipe, if you know. I'll start with Snake Bite: 0.2l grapefruit juice 0.1l tonic Fernet, Becher (both are bitter herb destillates), gin.. according to your taste a few drops of Angustura and possibly some ice and Virgin Mojito: just like classic mojito, but without white rum ;-) (nothing extra added). my favorite one in these hot days. | Stirrer Of Shit | I no longer drink. But when I did, as mixed drinks go, can't beat a Harvey Wallbanger 1 part Galliano 2 - 3 parts Vodka 4 parts orange juice |

| Interested participant | Right now I really love mojitos. I just use a mix and Bacardi. I tried one with Captain Morgan once since I like it better than Bacardi but it turned out that spiced rum doesn't work so well in them. Also, there is a bar in town that makes an amazing lychee martini. |

| finally, a decent topic! vodka martini, with a little olive juice, garnished with a raw oyster. it's like drinking the ocean. gin and tonic, on a very hot and very humid day. bourbon, with a beer back. not on my list: that nightmare my neighbor was making the other night (ouch, my head!). |

| This is a drink that I've only seen in one place, the Ryerson campus bar, and it's called a Flaming Engineer: - 3/4 of a pint of beer - a shot of amaretto - a shot of rye - topped up with orange juice Surprisingly good, tastes kind of like fizzy orange juice. Normal drinks: gin and tonic or rye and ginger are my staples for the most part, and sometimes whiskey sours. |

| Pepsi Jazz (Black Cherry & French Vanillia) and Whiskey. Any good Whiskey will do. (Jack Daniel's preferred) I need a name for this concoction, though. It's similar to a Black Tooth Grin, just with Pepsi Jazz instead of cola. |

| Irish coffee. I like the effect of mixing caffeine with alcohol. I make it with strong, dark roast coffee and a good splash of whiskey (Jameson's preferred, but any decent whiskey will do). I guess I put somewhere between 1 and 2 ounces of whiskey in a cup of coffee, but I don't really measure it. |

| Hey, don't diss Sambuca and coffee, it's great. Also try it neat or on the rocks, with some coffee beans...mmm, yummy. Anything involving coffee is good. Maybe my current favourite is French Coffee, i.e. cognac instead of whiskey. Another favourite is a Black Russian; 5 parts vodka, 2 parts coffee liqueur, ice. |

| Discussion starter | I hardly drink - I guess it's something to do with being underage ;] But the best I've had is a Black Russian. (Look at the post above for the recipe.) Edit; Brandy Eggnog isn't half bad either! * 4.0 cl (1.5 oz) Brandy * 5.0 cl (2 oz) Milk * 1.0 cl (2 tsp) Gomme syrup * 1 egg yolk |

| I see the Fnords. | I'm simple. I like Crown and Coke, when I'm not drinking beer. Two fingers of Crown, and three fingers of Coke. |
