Default need a recipe.

I do my own cooking and I am in dire need of something new, spicy, exotic to prepare. Have a good recipe? perhaps for a soup? or just a really sweet meal? My taste-buds are about to go on a boredom rampage.

For the tajine, I know of several wonderful variations. One of my favorites is focused on chunks of lamb with prunes in a lightly sweet cinnamon sauce sprinkled with sesame seeds.

My favorite enchiladas use corn tortillas filled with cheese and diced onions and smothered in a very spicy red chile enchilada sauce that is topped again with a touch of cheese and maybe a few sliced black olives.

Oh man, now I'm hungry.

Here's a pretty simple Roasted Portebello Sandwich recipe that's good and easy to cook, IMO:

Ingredients:

large french loaf
portebello mushroom caps
green onions
lettuce
aged swiss cheese
butter
oregano
dry garlic powder
fresh ground black pepper
salt
tabasco sauce
pepperoncinis

An iron skillet works fine for grilling.

Turn heat to high.
Usually you will need about 2-3 caps and 3-4 onions for a 6" sandwhich.
Chop mushroom caps and onions.
Add dash of salt, ground pepper, and garlic powder.
Saute with butter at high heat until the mushrooms are slightly browned.
Mushrooms may shrink a lot if over-cooked and can burn if there is not enough butter.

Turn heat down to med-low.
Prepare french loaf....cut in half.
Add butter and dash of oregano to eat half.
Heat bread beside mushrooms until slightly browned.
Bread should be soft and chewy, with outside crispy.
Flip halves over and repeat.

Everything is cooked.
Add mushrooms and onions to bread, add a stripe of tabasco.
Add swiss and lettuce.
Put pepperoncinis on side.
Enjoy.

We love this recipe for General Tso's Chicken... I personally use 3-4 jalapenos per 1.5 lbs of chicken (which is perfect for me, husband and my dad... or two of us can stuff ourselves silly. but you may not want that many... I love super spicy food so... Anyhow:

Sauce:
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 TBSP water
1/2 tsp ground ginger
minced garlic 1-2 cloves depending on size...
3/8 c. sugar
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 c chicken broth
2 TBSP white vinegar
2 TBSP white wine

Heat oil to 350+ degrees
Cut chicken into chunks put in a plastic bag w/ one egg and shake till coverd, then add 1/2 cup corn starch. Deep fry till golden, set aside. This takes, by far, the longest

In a jar, put all the ingredients for sauce, and shake well. Saute onions (diced/chopped.. yellow or green if you have them 1 cup-ish) and jalapeno peppers (diced, like I said, I use 3-4 depending on size, but to taste...) for a couple minutes in 1-2 TBSP coconut oil in a LARGE pan or wok, then add the sauce and cook till it thickens, then dump the fried chicken chunks in, cook for a couple minutes to make sure its hot and serve over brown rice! SUPER tasty!!

It's possible I know of them by a different name. If I were to say those words the way I'm guessing they are pronounced, here in Morocco people would think I was trying to say "bread" and "mixed up."

Please, post a recipe.

Not spicy but kind of exotic is pork steak on Rhubarb in Serano ham... resipe is basicall all int he name, just marinate the meat in oil and sage and mix some (but not much) sugar under the rhubarb. And then do it all in the oven. I guess you could make it spicy if need be. (No eating restrictions were mentioned, right?)

and you could try this variation of chili with using dark chocolate from the beginning on.. not much, just like a fith of what you use in beans. Makes it more exotic I think.

Well, and I personally also like to pure taste of things. Like beef with red chili, oil, a few drops a vinegar and just a little ginger and garlic. But all just a little to make the meat taste come out good. And it's spicy.

I haven't yet found a Makluba recipe on the internet in English, only in Arabic, and I don't think you read Arabic :P
