| The Dalek Has Returned | I wondered, when this morning I made a thread about Cheese-on-Toast Recipies if there should be a forum about cooking. I'm not proposing to take any action about it, I just wanted to know what the user opinion was. (http://socialdiscussion.com/general-...ese-toast.html) |

Is this place dead yet?...

| I see the Fnords. | I do most of the cooking at my house, so some new receipes would be appreciated. I have a few I could contribute. |

For just an instant, have a glimpse, a vision, of life through my eyes. It is a staggeringly joyous perspective, a view of how each person's choices can make their own life better. It is a vision of the possible, of how things can and should be.

| Voted yes. I like to hear about new recipes, get new ideas. The only one magazine I read thoroughly is about cooking. I like to experiment, make up new things, get one idea here, another one there and use them. Sometimes its a disaster! I also can share (not the disasters, unless you really care about that), and earth-wide contributions are really appealing to me. We can ring u-g about it ![]() |

| Ok, I have just joined so this is my first post. I am a househusband after retiring from work due to MS and ending up paralysed and a wheelchair user; hence my username. As a househusband, I do most of the cooking and the shopping for my wife, grown up and and me, of course. I try to come up with different ideas for meals but it is rather hard sometimes. Mind, the family enjoys a weekly curry of some sort. I am in Scotland, so not the most noted country for barbecues but we do get some pretty hot weather at times and eating outdoors is fun, I could do with some advice of things to cook on the BBQ apart from sausages and burgers which seem to dominate in the UK once a BBQ is considered. Right off to get lunch organized! |

| I'd wait until the forums started kicking a little more to see how it would play out. If it is just people swapping recipes there could just be a single big thread where users post them. |

| I think the idea has potential, but it may be a little soon to make a separate section. May I suggest starting a new thread in General Discussion with the title something like, "Post your favorite recipe(s)," and see if people contribute? EDIT: I just noticed that the previous poster said essentially the same thing. <blushing> |

Scotland! There seem to be a lot of Scottish people in this forum Have you tried getting some of those small pointy wooden sticks (i forget what they're called) and sticking bits of chicked, pepper and whatever on them? Very tasty... Don't forget breadsticks of course, the best and most exciting part of any meal.Last edited by Moniker42 : 05-14-2007 at 12:59 PM. Reason: typo | |

| Quote: However, personally I think it should be restricted to toast, cheese, and sauces for meat. (Just to piss off the vegans.) Edit: Just kidding of course. I've taken the honor of starting the first thread... "What's your favorite breakfast?" Last edited by OrangeCrate : 05-14-2007 at 01:11 PM. | |
