Emma, Manny, Alex and Mia Degrassi gymnastic stars ( Correct spelling, Grammar and time line)
It takes place doing the sixth season. It’s the first day of the school year and also the day that the girls that have tryout for the gymnastics team last weekend finds out who has made the team. Manny and Emma are finish getting ready for school when Alex’s walks into Manny and Emma’s bedroom, because she is giving them a ride to school.

Alex: Emma and Manny are you nervous about find out if you made the gymnastics team.
Emma: I am, But that because I'm afraid Mrs. Hatzilakos will not pick me because of having that Eat disorder last school year.
Manny: Em, she knows that you over that, since you have been dating Peter all summer.
Alex: Manny’s are you nervous.
Manny: No
Spike: You girls need to get going or the three of you are going to be late for the first day of school.
Emma: Ok, Mom

The girls head upstairs and out the back door and they get into Alex’s car. Alex pulls into the parking lot of the school and parks her car and a red Honda pulls into the space next to her. Jay and Sean get out of the car at the sometime as Emma, Manny and Alex get out of Alex’s car. Peter’s walks over to the girls and wrap his arm around Emma waists.

Sean: Hi Em
Emma: Hi Sean, When did you come back to town.
Sean: Last week, I am going to finish my senior year at Degrassi.
Emma: That cool
Manny: Come on Emma we have to check to see if we made the gymnastics team.

Alex, Emma, Manny, Peter, Jay and Sean walk into the school and head over to the Gym. To see the list being posted on the wall by the gym door. Mia the new girl at Degrassi is read the name of the girls that made the team out loud.

Mia: Emma Nelson, Manny Santos, Alex Nunez, Darcy Edwards, Me, Heather Sinclair, Kendra Mason.
Peter: See Em, I tell you yesterday that you did not need to worry about make the team.
Alex: The first practice is today after school and everyone has to be at the first practice.

The Bell rings for the first hour.

Sean: Emma, Alex, Manny’s, what class do the three of you have first?
Emma: M.I. with Mr. Simpson.
Sean: That what I have to.
Peter: I will see you at Lunch Emma.
Emma: Me to

Emma kiss Peter on the cheek.
Jay: I have English With Mrs. Kawn
Peter: So do I.

Peter and Jay head to English and the girls and Sean head to Mr. Simpson class.

Mr. Simpson: Nice to have you back at Degrassi Sean.
Sean: Nice to be back at Degrassi.

At the first gymnastics team practice that afternoon. The team was setting on the stand waiting for Mrs. Hatzilakos to come into the gym. She comes into the gym carrying the team’s new workout leotard and competition leotard. She passes then out to the team.

Mrs. Hatzilakos: Are first meet is in three week form today, its Degrassi at Wasaga Beach High School. We will leave for the meet after first hour, and will not get back to eight p.m.. that night. Go put you workout leotards on and then start practice. When the team comes out of the locker room, they walk over to Mrs. Hatzilakos.

Mrs. Hatzilakos: Mia, start practices floor, Emma, you on Bars first, Manny on Beam. Alex, Kendra, Heather and Darcy take turns on the vault table, Start by doing timer then after doing four timers each move on to practice your vaults.
Mia: Mrs. Hatzilakos what do you want, me to do my full floor routine or just practice part of the routine.
Mrs. Hatzilakos: Practice the full routine, so I can see what you need to work on.

Mia steps up to the floor mat and begin her routine, she starts by doing a back handspring to a triple twist tumble pass, She then dose a wolf jump and a full turn. Then does an arabbian double front. She then does a double back to a dance combo. Mia then does a back walk over to a back somersault and ends the routine with the split.

Mrs. Hatzilakos: The only thing I see that you need to work on is your dance combo.

Mrs. Hatzilakos, then walks over and watch the girls work on their vaults and then from there she watches Emma on Bar, then Manny on Beam. After they finished practice these events the girls who are practice-vault goes to Bars, Emma went to Vault, Manny goes to floor, Mia goes to beam. Then Emma goes to floor, Manny to bar, girls on vault goes to floor and Mia went to vault. After that the girls all move onto the events that they have not done yet done.

Mrs. Hatzilakos: All right girls that enough for today. You can go get change and go home.
In the locker room the girls talk to eachother as they are change.

Alex: Mia your floor routine was Awesome, why ain't you doing gymnastics at a high level then the school team?
Mia: Because I had to stop doing Elite gymnastic when I get pregnant with Isabella three years ago. You are pretty good yourself Alex.Alex: Thanks

Emma, Manny and Alex head out of the locker room and out of the Gym and start walks to the main door of the school when there see Peter is kissing Liberty on the Lip. Emma walks over to Peter and punch his face.

Emma: Peter how could you cheat on me with Liberty.
Peter: You just were not give me enough love.
Liberty: Emma just faces it Peter love me more then you.
Emma: Peter’s we are over and I never want to talk to you again.
Peter: If you would have give in and gone all the way with me. I would have not had too, cheat on you.
Emma: I hope you will be happy with Liberty.

With that Emma runs out to Alex car and Manny and Alex runs after her.

Alex: Do you want to talk about it?
Emma: No just take me home please
Alex: Ok

Alex’s Take Manny and Emma home, once Alex has stops the car Emma gets out run and into the house and into her and Manny’s bedroom.

Manny: Alex’s thanks for give us a ride I'll see you tomorrow, when you come pick us up.
Alex: Ok, I am close the Movie theater at the mall tonight, so if she wants to talk come by there or if she wants to see a movie, I'll give the two of you my discount.
Manny: Ok, but I do not think Emma is going want to do anything.

Manny walks inside the house and Spike, stop her.

Spike: Manny’s why did Emma come run into the house crying and then run downstairs to her and your bedroom?
Manny: She saw Peter Kiss Liberty on the lips, as we were coming out of gymnastics practice.
Spike: Manny can you go downstairs and get Emma for dinner.
Manny: Sure
Manny walks downstairs to her and Emma’s bedroom . She then walks over to Emma bed to find that Emma has fallen asleep, so she taps her arm.

Manny: Emma’s wake up its time for dinner.
Emma: Tell my mom I'll get something to eat later, I am not hunger right now.
Manny: Em, you need to eat
Emma: No

Emma gets up and goes over to the window and start to go out of it.

Manny: Where are you going?
Emma: To Sean

Just then Spike walks downstairs.

Spike: Emma, what are you doing?
Emma: Just open the window for some fresh air.
Spike: Dinner is ready.

Spike start walks up the stairs and the girls head up after her, they set down at the table for dinner.

Spike: So Emma and Manny how was gymnastics practice?
Emma: Good, I had some problems on my Pike barani on balance Beam. I keep fall off on the move, so I am taking the move out of the routine and put in a layout. I did great on everything else.
Manny: Great

They finish dinner without another word then the girls go downstair and did their homework.
The next day the girls are getting ready for School when the phone rings, Emma picks the phone up.

Emma: Emma here, who I am I speaking to?
Sean: It’s Sean
Emma: Hi why did you call before school?
Sean: I was call to tell you that I am pick Manny and you up for school, because Alex is running late today.
Emma: Did she say why?
Sean: She calling me like a minute before I call you and told me that she had just wake up and look at the time. Then says she knew that she would not be able to pick the two of you up on time.
Emma: Thanks, see you when you get here Sean.

At school doing Lunch hour. Emma, Manny, Sean and Jay are sitting eating lunch together and talk to eachother.

Emma: Jay’s have you seen Alex today?
Jay: No
Sean: She told me she was coming to school today, but she has not show up yet.
Manny: She needs to get here for the last few hours or she will not be able to take part in gymnastic practice.

Just then Alex walks into the Lunchroom and over to the table and set down next to Jay.

Jay: Lexi where have you been all day?
Alex: I fell back to sleep after I talk to Sean. Emily’s wake me up an hour ago.
Sean: Lexi you never over sleep are you feeling ok?
Alex: Yeah, I must have wear myself out yesterday between school, Gymnastics practice and close the movie theater last night.

The bell ring and they go their next class. That afternoon at gymnastics practice. Mrs. Hatzilakos had everyone line up and start practice’s vault. Emma goes first and does a full twisting yurchenko, But did not get enough high on the vault and landed with her left knee lock. Her knee gives out and she falls down. As she is getting up Mrs. Hatzilakos walks up to her.
Mrs. Hatzilakos: Emma, are you all right?
Emma: Yeah, I’m fine

Emma then walks to the back of the line. Alex is next in line, she does a front pike. Heather goes three and does a Yurchenko, Manny is next and does a front handstand vault, Kendra Mason throws a ½ twist yurchenko, Darcy is next and does a front pike. Mia is last and does a Tsukahara. Everyone else hit their vaults. They then go to bars then to beam and last to Floor. After practice the girls change out of the workout clothing, then head out of the school. Everyone was out of the locker room, but Emma. Manny and Alex then stop walking and look around to see if they could see Emma anywhere.

Alex: I thought Emma was right behind us Manny!
Manny: So did I, let go check the locker room maybe Emma’s forget something and went back to get it.

Manny and Alex walk back to the locker room and go inside, they see Emma’s gym bag, but not her.
Manny: Emma, Emma where are you?
Emma: In the Bathroom
Manny: Oh
Emma: Sorry I'll be out in a second.

Emma walks out of the restroom and over to the bench and pick her gym bag up.

Manny: Emma’s what happen you were right behind us then you were gone?
Emma: I started my Monthly and had to put a pad on.
Manny: Ok let go.

There start walks out of the locker room and Alex Notice that Emma is limp a little bit.
Alex: Are you ok Em you are limp?
Emma: I am fine there is nothing wrong with me.
Alex: All right Just ask, don't bite my head off.
Emma: I am hunger let go get something to eat.

The girls head to the Dot and get some dinner. After they done eat dinner the three of then go over to Alex place to work on a history report that they are working on together.

Emma: It’s quite here tonight, it never seems so quite here when you call me.
Alex: That because normal my mom Emily here and so is her boyfriend that lives here with us.
Manny: Where are there to night?
Alex: My mom told me she would keep Chad out to I call her cellphone.
The next morning at Emma house. Manny is up and ready for school when Alex show up to pick them up but Emma still is sound asleep. Alex opens Manny and Emma’s Bedroom door.
Alex: Manny, Emma’s we need to get going.
Manny: All right, but Emma still a sleep. Come on down I'll try to wake her up.

Alex walks downstairs to the girl’s bedroom, and set down on Manny bed.

Manny: Emma’s wake up.

Emma rolls over and makes a whimper sound.

Manny: Emma’s you need to wake up and get ready for school really fasted.

Emma set up and put her leg over the edge of the bed. She goes to stand up and fall back down onto her bed.

Alex: Is everything ok Em?
Emma: Yeah just stood up to fast is all.

She gets up slower this time and gets ready for school. Then the three heads to school.
That afternoon at practice Emma is having problems sticking her landed. As the next two weeks goes by Emma start to have more problems in practice. The last week before the gymnastics team first meet and since there is only one week left the gymnastics team start having practice in the morning before school and after school. The first Monday morning practice and Mrs. Hatzilakos is check to see if everyone at the practice.
Mrs. H: Kendra Mason?
Kendra: Here
Mrs. H: Heather?
Heather: Here
Mrs. H: Mia?
Mia: Here
Mrs. H: Darcy?
Darcy: Here
Mrs. H: Alex?
Alex: Here
Mrs. H: Manny?
Manny: Here
Mrs. H: Emma?
There no answer.
Mrs. H: Emma Nelson?
Manny: She did not come, she went to the Doctors.
Mrs. H: Did she tell you why she going to the doctors for?
Manny: No, she just says she needed to see the doctor.
Mrs. H: Ok, girls start practice.
By lunch time Emma still has not come to school and Manny was starting to get worry so she cell Emma cellphone, but gets Emma voice mail.

Manny: Emma’s where are you. Call me and let me know what happened at the doctor.

That afternoon at the second practice Emma was not there again. That evening when Manny gets home. She heads down to there room and found Emma set on her bed read the English Book Mrs. Kwon pass out in English class that day. Sean is set next to Emma.

Manny: Sean what are you doing here?
Sean: I bring Emma her work, she called my cellphone and tell she was not going to be in school today, and ask me to bring her homework over to her after school get out.
Manny: Oh, but you never call me back Emma I left you a voice mail.
Emma: Sorry, I forget.
Manny: Why did you go to the doctor today?
Emma: That now of you business Manny.
Manny: Fine but you are gonna to have to tell Mrs. Hatzilakos.
Emma: No, my mom called me in sick, I had excuse absence, for today.
Manny: Way do you have an ice pack on your Left knee Em.
Emma: It a little sore that all Manny.
Manny: Fine. But Mrs. H. told me you have to be at every practice for the rest of the week if you want to competition in the gymnastic meet next Monday.
Emma: I will be at practice everyday for the rest of the week Manny, now leave me alone so I can finish my homework.
Manny: Its dinner time now Emma.
Emma: Ok, Manny goes on up, Me and Sean will be there in a second.

Manny goes upstairs and takes a seat at the table.

Spike: Where are Emma and Sean?
Manny: There be up in a minute.

Downstairs in Emma and Manny’s bedroom. Sean help Emma out of Bed and wrap his right arm around Emma waist and there walk upstairs. After dinner Sean leave because he has to go to work. Emma goes to her and Manny room and finishes her homework. Manny also goes to their bedroom to and start her homework. The last teams practice on Friday afternoon. Mrs. H. tells who on each event.

Mrs. H: Emma you on Beam, floor and Bars. Manny you are on Beam, bars and Floor. Mia you are on Vault, floor, Beam, Bars. Kendra your on vault and Bars. Alex you are on bars, Beam, Vault, floor. Heather you are on vault and last Darcy you are on Beam, vault, and floor. I want you to only practice the event you are competition on Monday.

After practice Manny, Emma and Alex walk out to the parking lot and to Alex’s car..
Alex: Emma’s why did Mrs. H. not put you on Vault and put me a vault since you have a high start vault then me on vault.
Emma: Because I'm having problems stick my vault landed.
Alex: Oh.
Alex then takes Manny and Emma home, then she heads to work. It’s Saturday morning anad Emma is over at Sean apartment hang out.

Sean: Emma’s are you really planing on Competition Monday?
Emma: Of cause I am competition on Monday Sean, I did not push my self through the last two week and four days to make it though practice and block out the pain in my left Knee to set out.
Sean: What about what the Doctor tell you about continue to training and competition could cause you to hurt you knee worse.
Emma: I do not care Sean!
Sean: Did you at lest Tell Mrs. H about what the Doctor said?
Emma: No, she would not let me training or competition Sean.
Sean: Does you Mom even know that the Doctor tell you to stop, because continue could hurt it worse Em.
Emma: No Sean, I want to be able to stay active on the gymnastic team all season, I do not want to have to stop.
Sean: Ok Emma But I am going to come watch the meet on Monday. How is the gymnastics team getting to Wasaga Beach?
Emma: We can go on the Bus or car pool with someone. Can you give me a ride, the team is leave after first hour.
Sean: Yeah, I'll give you a ride Em.

Sean then hugs Emma and Emma hug him back.

Monday morning at the end of first hour the gymnastics team is head out to the cars the team is using to get to the competition at Wasaga Beach. Emma and Sean are walking toward Sean’s car.

Manny: Emma where you Going?
Emma: Sean give me a ride.

Once at Wasaga Beach High School. The two teams are warm up for the Meet. Sean is Setting in the stands watching Emma very close. When the Meet start Degrassi is on the Uneven bars. Emma up first she mounts the bar and then gets on the high bar and does a chow to a kip. She goes back to the low bar and does a toe on. Then goes back to the high bar and does a double front dismount. She nails her routine. The rest of the girl does their routine. The only girl to fell of the bars from Degrassi was Kendra. Wasaga’s team had three of their gymnasts fall on their vaults. Degrassi next event was vault and Wasaga went to Bars. All of Degrassi sticks their vault. Wasaga hit all their bars routine. Then Degrassi head to Beam and Wasaga go to Floor. Alex Is first up on Beam for Degrassi. She starts the routine with a layout step out to mounted the beam, then does a sheep jump to a back walk over to a punch front. She then set up for her dismount which was a roundoff to a double back. She nails the routine. Manny, Mia, Darcy then does their routine and hit them. Emma goes last and falls off the beam once on her Arabian but get back up and hit the rest of the routine. Wasaga has two girls step out of bounds on floor. Degrassi then moves to Floor and Wasaga goes to Beam the last event. Wasaga’s weak event is Beam each one of their Gymnasts fell off the beam two times. Degrassi knows they have to stick there landed too win. Mia goes first and the whole stand is cheer for her when she is down. Emma hit most of her routine with only one tiny step after her jump combo. All the other girls nail their routine and Degrassi win the Meet. After the Meet Alex, Manny, Emma and Sean walk out of the school and to his car, so he can give the girls a ride home.

Emma: I tell you I would be fine.
Sean: You are luck that is all Em.
Alex: What are the two of you whisper about?
Emma: That is none of you business Alex.

Two hours later when Sean pulls up at Emma place after he drops Alex off at her mom apartment. Sean’s park his car and goes over and get Manny and Emma gym bags out of the trunk for them and he carries them into the house for the girls. When they walk though the front door Spike and Snake is waiting on the couch for Emma.

Emma: Hi mom and Dad the meet was great.
Spike: The Doctor call today Emma to tell you about the MRI result you had done on your left knee Monday afternoon. You tell me that you had to go to the doctor because of a really sore throat Emma Nelson.

Emma: It nothing Mom, the doctor just wanted to check it because it was a little sore that all.
Snake: You are lying, he asks you mom if you stop training like he tell you.
Spike: I tell the doctor you are still training and he told me that you could blow you knee out if you do not stop.
Emma: I am not going to stop training mom and you can't make me stop either.
Spike: Fine, but you have a doctor appointment to talk about the MRI tomorrow after gymnastic
Practice.
Emma: Cool.

Sean kisses Emma good bye and head home. Manny and Emma heads downstairs to their bedroom and take turns uses the shower.

The Next day at school at the beginning of second hour. Emma, Sean, Manny, Alex’s walks into the science classroom to find that Mrs. Hatzilakos is not there and there is a substitute Teacher Called Mrs. Furby.

Mrs. Furby: I am fill in for Mrs. Hatzilakos who can't make in for her Morning class due to Personal Issues. She we be in for her afternoon class and to take care of her principle and gymnastic coaching duty. She left a phone message to let the person fill in for her morning class to show the film you were to see on Wednesday class today. During the film Sean look over at Emma, Manny and Alex.

Sean: I have never seen Mrs. Hatzilakos miss any days before, have any of you?Emma: No she always in school even when she is sick as a dog.
Alex: I wonder way she not at school this morning?
Manny: It must be something important since she not here.

The bell ring and the class get up and head to their next class. That afternoon when the girls get to the gym for gymnastics practice there is a note on the door saying that practice is cancel for the day.

Emma: That cool I did not want to practice today anyway, since I have to take off early.

Emma and Sean head out to Sean’s car and he divers her to the Doctor office. Once they get there Emma walk up to the check in desk.

Emma: I am here for My appointment.
Lady at check desk: What is the Name.
Emma: Emma Nelson
L..A C..D: Take a seat and you will be call back in a few minutes.

Sean and Emma walk over to the seat area and takes a set. A few minutes later Emma’s name is called. She heads back with the Doctor.
Emma: So what did the MRI say?
DR. Beep: That you have a small tear to you M.C.L., ACL, PCL and the muscles on both side of you left knee along with a dislocation knee cap.
Emma: Can I still take part in gymnastics?
Dr. Beep: I will give a knee brace to wear, but it only help support the knee. You can continue to do gymnastic if you want.
Emma: Cool
Dr. Beep: But there still a chance you could blow you knee out, but as long as you wear the knee brace this should not happen. but there still a little chance it still could.
Emma: Ok I'll take that chance.

The Doctor fit her for the Knee brace then get her one in her size. And she head out the door, and Sean and her head to his car.

Sean: Did he put you on the injury list?
Emma: No I just have to wear the knee brace he give me, and I can still do gymnastic.

Sean drops her off at home. He then he heads home him self. When Emma gets home, Spike is just put dinner on the table. Emma come skip over to the table and take a set and start put the spaghetti onto her plate.

Spike: What did the doctor say Em?
Emma: That it up to me if I want to continue or stop doing gymnastics. I just have to wear a knee brace if I continue to do the sport to reduce the chance of hurt any farther.
Snake: So what or you going to do Em?Emma: I am going to continue, Since it my senior year and my last year on the team. I can fully heal was the season over.

After Dinner Emma and Manny head downstairs to their bedroom and start to work on their homework but ends up talk.

Emma: Manny’s you never guess who I see at the medical center.
Manny: Who
Emma: Guess
Manny: Liberty, she misses school today.
Emma: No
Manny: Tell me
Emma: Fine, Mrs. Hatzilakos
Manny: Did she see you Em?
Emma: No, she was fill paperwork out as I was walking back with the doctor.
Manny: I wonder why she was there.
Emma: So do I . I can tell you she did not look good.
Manny: She was not feeling good Monday come to think of it.
Emma: No, she wasn't.
The next day Emma, Manny, Alex leaves early then normal for school, because they had a gymnastics practice to make up for not have one the day before. The girls were dress and wait for Mrs. Hatzilakos when she gets there.

Mrs. H: I am sorry about not being here yesterday. I had a doctor appointment.

Emma raises her hand!
Mrs. H: Yes Emma?
Emma: I am Just wonder way you were at the doctor for, If you do not mind telling us because you never miss school before?
Mrs. H: Normal I would say that it not your business, but I will not this time. Since it has to do with the reason Mr. Armstrong has been doing the spot for you girls and not me. The reason for this is I am Pregnant, I am 3 months and 3 weeks along.
Manny: Who the baby father?
Mrs. H: Joey Jeremiah. It time to start practice now.

Manny looks over at Emma and sees she is not wear her knee brace. Manny pull Emma over to her and whisper in her ear.

Manny: Emma way ain't you wear you Knee brace?
Emma: I don't want to and if I do wear the knee brace, I would have to let Mrs. Hatzilakos know. The doctor might let me continue, but Mrs. Hatzilakos does not let people continue if they are injury. Don't tell her either Manny!
Manny: I won't Em. Do you know Sean watch Emma.
Emma: I tell him I was not going to wear it, he does not like it, but say it’s my choice not to wear the brace, but he is going to watch me practice to keep an eye on me. So he can make sure nothing happen.
Mrs. H: Emma and Manny you need to be practice not whisper things to eachother. Emma’s I want you on Beam.

Emma goes over to the beam. She mounts the Beam with a pouch front to a wolf jump, then does a full turn, then does a layout but lose her balance and fall off and hit her left knee on the side of the beam as she is falling off. She gets right back up and redoes the layout to an Arabian then goes into her dismount which is a back walkover to a double back. She does not get an enough high and end up set down on the landed. Emma just set there and does not move and is crying so hard that tears are roll down her face. Mrs. Hatzilakos and Sean come run over to Emma.
Mrs. H: Emma are you are right?
Emma: Yeah
Sean: Are you sure?
Emma: I said I am fine.

Emma goes to stand up, but fall back down. Alex comes walk over to Emma.

Alex: You are not fine Emma, if you were fine you could stand up.
Emma: I am fine

Emma then tries to stand back up by fall down again, this time she grabs her left knee.

Sean: Emma’s that it, Mrs. Hatzilakos Emma is not wear her knee brace that her doctor told her to wear. Because she has a small tear in her M.C.L., ACL, PCL and a small tears in the muscle on both sides of her left knee along with a dislocation knee cap. She is only able to training if she wearing her knee brace.

Mr. Armstrong kneels down and starts check Emma’s knee out.

Mrs. H: Emma you should have told me about your injury, so I would have known and you should have had you knee brace on.
Mr. Armstrong: Sean go get some ice for Emma Knee and Emma I want you to go the ER and get you knee check out again, because I think you might have blown out your knee.
Emma: When before of after school.
Mrs. H: Before school.

Sean comes back into the Gym and bring the ice pack over to Emma and head it to her.

Emma: Sean can you take me to the ER, Mrs. Hatzilakos and Mr. Armstrong want me to have my left knee check out since I can't put any wight on my left knee.

Sean takes Emma to the hospital to have her knee look at. Back at Degrassi Its lunch time now and Emma and Sean have still not come back to school.

Manny: I am worry about Emma, Lexi what take so long?Alex: I am not sure.

Jay comes over and set down between the two of them and put his left arm around Manny and his right around Alex.

Jay: I am sure Sean or Emma will let us know soon enough what going on, the two of you just need to hang in there and put it to the back of you mind and focus on class then practice after school.
Alex: Yeah you right Jay.

The bell ring to head to there next class and the three them stands up and leave the Lunch room. Emma and Sean get back to school for six and seven-hour. Emma comes walks into her six-hour world History class on crutch.

Alex: What did the doctor say?
Emma: I'll blow my knee out.
Manny: Emma will you knee heal on its own?

Mrs. Kawn walks to the front of the room and start class.

Mrs. Kawn: Today we are going to hear form everyone on what they have write in they creative write journals. We will start at the front of the room and work our way to the back of the room.


Sean: Lexi you should go to the nurse and went home.
Alex: I have to go to practice tonight. I am not take part in gym class or practice I copy my science notes down doing that time. Cough.
Emma: I think you are coming down with Isabella and Star cold!
Alex: Ah-Choo, no they just had a cough and a sore throat. I am all ache and my nose is also all
stuffed up.
Sean: I can't believe Mrs. H is making you stay for practice, can't she see how sick you are?
Alex: Cough, no but there must be an imported reason for it, if she makes everyone come to practice.
Emma: It just wrong.

That afternoon at Gymnastics practice.

Mrs. H: All right Girls, we have the high school region championship come up in four weeks from today. So there is going to be practice every morning and after school. There is no if and or but you have to be at each practice, even if you are sick as a dog. Now everyone but Emma needs to start practice now.

Alex slow get up and goes into the locker and change with the rest of the girls.

Mia: Alex you do not look good at all.
Alex: I have the flu and Mrs. H would not let me go to the nurse and go home.
Mrs. H: it does not take that long to change.
Kendra: Mrs. H has been so mood later.

The girls come run out of the locker room.

Mrs. H: Alex on vault, Mia on Floor, Manny, Kendra, Heather on Bars, Darcy on beam Now. I change my mind Emma gets change and you are also work on bars doing the whole time even when the other girls switch events.

Emma hops to the locker room on her crutch and changes, then come hop back out. Alex practice Bars last. She looks at Emma and sees that Emma has tears run down her face. Alex put her bar grips on and starts have a cough fit. When she stops coughs, she walks over and grabs her water bottle and gets a drink.

Alex: Emma’s are you ok?
Emma: Yeah my knee just really hurts, I been up on it too long. Are you ok Lexi, you sound awful?
Alex: Cough, Ah-Choo, no I feel like a truck hit me and I have no strong left to do bars.

Mr. Armstrong walks over to Emma and Alex.

Mr. Armstrong: I would start training before Mrs. H sees that the two of you are just talk, Alex since you have not been on Bars yet you start.

Alex mounts the bars but does not get an enough high going to the high bar and fall off.

Mr. Armstrong: Are you all right?

Alex starts to stand up and lose her Balance Mr. Armstrong catch her before she falls onto the low bar.

Mr. Armstrong: Alex and Emma I want t the two of you to go and changes and Emma will you take Alex home ok?
Emma: Sure

Sean walks over to them.

Sean: I'll give Manny a ride home when practice is over.

Alex and Emma goes and change, then Alex head Emma her car keys and they walk out to Alex’s car. Emma first stop at her mom house to pick up Star. Alex goes up to the front door and knock Spike answer the door and Star, see her mom as Mrs. Nelson open the front door.

Star: Momie, Momie.
Alex: Come on it time to go home.
Spike: I fellow you and Emma to you place Alex so I can give Emma a ride home after.
Alex: You do not need to Jay’s is meet us at my place to Pick Star up and take her for the Night he will bring Emma home.
Spike: Ok. Alex walks out to the car and puts Star into her car seat and then Emma takes them home and make sure Alex get into the house and walk back out to Jay’s car with Jay and Star after Emily pack Star an overnight bag.

At the Hogart house two hours later. Jay is staring at his math homework trying to understand it but, every time he starts to get the problem that he is working on Star interrupted.
Jay: Star what is it this time?
Star: ick feeling
Jay: (Picks her up) I know Baby
Star: Want Momie
Jay: Your Mom does not feel good, so you stay here tonight. That way she can get some sleep tonight and not have to worry about you.
Star: Cold dadie
Jay: That is because you fever has gone back up baby. Lets go into the bathroom and take you temperature and see how high its.
Jay his daughter into the bathroom and take her temperature, After the thermometer beeps. Star pulls it out from under her underarm.
Star: Here Dadie
Jay: You fever is way to high Star I am taking you to the ER and Have you seen by a doctor.
At Chad, Emily and Alex place an hour and half later, the phone ring and Emily pick it up.
Emily: Emily Nunez speak
Jay: Hi Emily it’s Jay I need to speak to Alex, it about Star.
Emily: She could not get off work Jay, so if you want to speck to her you have to call her cellphone or her work. Number
Jay: Ok Emily
They both hang up and Jay Look at Star in the hospital bed and the IV that is in Star tiny left hand.
Star: want Momie, Dadie.
Jay: I know baby, I will call her Cellphone.
Jay dial Alex Cellphone number, but get her voice mail, so he hangs up and Dail her work number.
Alex: Alex Speak you have reach the Sunset Mall Movie theater. How can I help you.
Jay: Lexi It me Jay
Alex: Jay’s this better be important, because I am at, coughs, Ah-Choo at work.
Jay: Its about Star Lexi, Her Fever get really high and I had to take her to the ER and the Doctor check her into the hospital to run some test and give her medicine through an IV and try to get her fever down. I call Mrs. Nelson when we get to the ER and she said that Star fever went up and down all day. Mrs. Nelson gives her children Tylenol to help keep her fever down, she was going to tell you, but since you were in a rush to get home after practice, she forgets to tell you.
Alex: That ok, How Star doing now?
Jay: She is scary and wants her mom. She also will not let go of my left hand, Is there anyway you could get off work and come to Toronto General Hospital.
Alex: I will try, but I will only be able to if I can find someone to come in for me, I call you and let you know if I was able to find someone to cover the rest of my shift.
Jay: Ok

They Hang up and Jay turns his attention back to Star.

Back at Sunset movie theater Alex’s is calling co-worker trying to find someone to come in and cover the rest of her shift. She now at the last number on the list, which is Dan Kit. Alex dials his phone number. He picks up after three rings.

Dan: Dan Kit speck.
Alex: Hi Dan’s I know it’s you first day off of work in a month and you have been work the day shift the last few months, but I really need you to come in and take the rest of my shift over and close up. Jay had to take Star to the ER because her fevers get really high and the doctor check her into the hospital. Star, really wants her mom, because she is scary.
Dan: Sure Alex, I know how what that feel like. My wife and I have a daughter ourselves.
Alex: thank Dan
Dan: I will be there in ten Minutes.

They hang up and Alex calls Jay to let him know she will be there in 45 minutes. Once Dan gets there, Alex grabs her purse and car keys. She then heads to the hospital. Alex’s walks into her daughter hospital room and sees her lay on the bed.

Star: Momie
Alex Set down on the bed next to her) I am here baby.

After ten minutes of Alex get to the hospital and set down by her daughter. Star has gone to sleep. Alex slower get of the bed and takes a set in the chair next to Jay.

Alex: coughing
Jay: Lexi you not sound too hot. Why don’t you go home for the night seen that Star asleep now!
Alex: Yeah you right Jay’s I am not help any of us if I do not take care of myself and end, cough, Ah-Choo, up sick then I already am. If she wakes up and wants to talk to me, call my cellphone Jay.
Jay: OK

Alex gets up and leaves her daughter hospital room and head out to her car, she then goes home. Once at home she goes into the bathroom and she takes some Tylenol cold and flu. Then she goes into her bedroom and lays her cellphone on her night stand. Alex then gets into bed and falls right to sleep.

The next morning Alex wakes up to Manny, Emma, Sean, Jay and Star stand by her bed. She sits up and Star get up onto her mom bed and set down next to her.

Alex: Jay did the doctor let Star out of the hospital?
Jay: Yeah, they get her fever to break, so the doctor gave Star a prescription and released her this morning.
Alex: Emma, Manny and Sean way are you here?
Manny: We have a gymnastics practice before school today. Mrs. H let the team know after you and Emma left yesterday.
Sean: I give Emma and Manny a ride over here.
Alex: Ah-choo
Emma: Lexi, you sound like you getting worse.
Alex: I am stay home sick today, I feel too weak and, cough, feverish to go to practice or to school today.
Jay: I Just bring Star over to see you, before take her to my house. My mom side she would stay home from work and watches Star for us today.
Alex: that good I’m not feeling up to take care of Star or even take care of myself. I am just going to sleep all day. Your three year old sister will, Ahhh-Choo, love Star being over there.
Jay: Yeah, She will. Feel better, Lexi.
Manny: I will let Mrs. H know you are Running a fever and are really sick.
Alex: Thanks

Jay picks Star up and follows Sean, Manny and Emma out of Alex and Star’s bedroom and then out of the apartment.

Emma: yeah my knee just really hurts, I been up on it too long. Are you ok Lexi you sound awful?

Alex walks out to the car and put Star in her car seat and then Emma takes them home and make sure Alex get into the house and walk back out to Jay car with Jay and Star after Emily pack Star an overnight bag.

Alex’s got out of bed and walk over to her wall calendar and wrote down on Nov 4 2006, is the region high school gymnastics championship. She then looks at the date and see that it’s October 11, which is Jessica’s (Jay’s little sister) fourth birthday. She then hears a knock on the front door. Alex walks out of her and Star bedroom. She then goes to the apartment door. She looks through the peep hole and she sees Jay and Star stand there. She open the door and Star reach for her mom. Alex takes her daughter from Jay and walks over to the couch and set down.

Alex: Did you, Ah-Choo, forget something Star?
Star: Gift for Jessica
Alex: It’s in the purple gift bag on top of the dresser in our bedroom Jay.
Jay: Ok, I will go get the gift then me and Star will leave so you can get some sleep.
Alex: Coughs, Thanks

Jay walks past the kitchen area, then past the bathroom . When he reaches the end of the hallway, he goes into the bedroom on his right -hands side and grabs the gift off of Alex and Star dressers. He then grabs one of his daughter bags and puts a few of her favorite toys in the bag. He also puts her favorite toddy bear into the bag. Jay then walks back out to the living room and takes Star from Alex. Who has lean her head on the back of the couches and close her eyes.

Star: Get my toys and Toddy bear Dadie?
Jay: Yeah Star.
Star: Good, Momie ick Dadie!
Jay: I now sweetie, Lexi before you go back to bed you should take you temperature. When I take Star from you my hand brush up against your arm and you felt really warm.
Alex: I will, Ah-Choo, Jay. See you tonight Star.
Star: Love you Momie
Alex: I love you too Star.

Alex gets up from the couch and kiss Star good bye on her forehead. Alex’s sees Jay and Star to the door and out of the apartment. Meanwhile, across town at Tim and Jen Edward’s house (Darcy aunt and uncle.) Darcy and her sister are staying there, because they parents are out of town. Darcy has over sleep and she is just getting out of bed, when she hears a loud bang and the front door come swinging open. She then hears the door slum close. She looks around the guest room and she sees that her sister Claire has left for school already. She also knows that both her aunt and uncle leave for work at 5:30 in the morning. Darcy opens the door of the guest room up and walks into the hallway and she sees a guy that she has never met before stands in the living room. Darcy notices that the guy is six feet tell and he also sees he has dark brown hair and hazel eyes. She turns around and starts to tip toes back towards the guest room, but only makes it a few steps when she feels hands on her shoulder. She tries to pull away from him, but he is too strong. He pushes her up against the wall in the hallway.

Darcy: Who are you and what do you want?
Man: It does not matter who I am and I do not want anything.
Darcy: Then get out of my aunt and uncle house!
Man: No
Darcy: At lest let me go, I am running late for school.
Man: No!

The man pushes Darcy back into the guest room and down onto the unmade bed. She tires to get away from him when he is pulling his pants down, but her throws her back onto the bed and kneels down on her leg, so she can’t move and he then starts to rape her.

Darcy: Get off me
Man: No

No matter how hard she tries to fight him and get him to stop the man won’t. After a half hour of fight she gives up and just lays there, hope he will stop soon and leave her aunt and uncle house. Final after what seems like two hours, he gets off of her and puts his pants back on and leaves the room. She stays in the guest room, till she hears him leave the house. She then gets back out of bed and wrap the bed sheet around her. Darcy then goes and locks the house up and goes and takes a warm shower. Once she is under the water she starts crying and can’t stop, she knows that she will be yell at for miss school and gymnastics practice today, but she does not care right now. All she wants to do is forget about what just happened to her. Back at Nunez apartment when the guy is break into Jen and Tim Edwards house. Alex’s has walked into the bedroom and gets a gray sweatshirt. She pulls it over her head as she walks out of her and Star bedroom and into the bathroom. She reaches into the medicine cabinet and take out the digital thermometer and turn the thermometer on. She put the thermometer into her mouth and set down on the edge of the bathtub and wait for the thermometer to beep. When the thermometer starts to beeps she takes it out of her mouth and sees that she has a fever of 40 C (104.9 F). She clean the thermometer then puts it away. She then walks out of the bathroom and walks into the living room. She lays down on the couch and turns the tv on. Alex watches where you are out, till she falls asleep.

Darcy gets out of the shower two hours later and wraps a towel around her wet hair. She also wraps a towel around her body. She then goes to the hallway closets and gets out some clean bedding. She then heads into the guests’ bedroom and set the clean bedding down on the bed her sister is sleeping in. She pulls the dirty bedding off her bed and then remakes the bed. Darcy then picks up the dirty bedding and carry it into the bathroom. She puts the dirty bedding into the hamper, then she had back to the guest room and puts on a clean pair of underwear, bra and pajamas. She then gets back into bed and she looks at the book that setting on the night stand next to her, which she is reading for English class. She picks up the Hobbit from the night stands and start to read the book hope it will take her mind off of what happed to her. Meanwhile Mia is set in her first hour math class listens to Mr. Armstrong. He has been talking about how to solve vectors since class starts twenty minutes ago. Mia cellphone starts to vibrate on her hip again. Mia slips her cellphone off her hip and see it is the number for the daycare her daughter goes to. Mia raise her hand in the air and wait for Mr. Armstrong to notices that Mia hand is raises in the air. After a few second Mr. Armstrong turn around from the calk board and sees her hand in the air.

Mr. Armstrong: Yes Mia what did you need?
Mia: My daughter’s daycare keeps calling my cellphone, I need to go and call them back.
Mr. Armstrong: You can go into the hallway and call them back.
Mia: Thanks

Mia has no soon walks out of the classroom and her cellphone start vibrate again. She flips her cellphone open and takes the call.

Mia: Mia Jones speck
Miss. Hope: Hi Mia, it’s your daughter teacher Miss. Hope.
Mia: What is so imported that you had to call me at school Miss. Hope.
Miss. Hope: Isabella says her right and left-ear is hurting her really bad.
Mia: Does Isabella have a fever, because she did not have one this morning?
Miss. Hope: 37.77 C (99.99 F), which means you need to come and pick up your daughter.
Mia: Ok, I will be there in about a half hour.
Miss. Hope: Ok, see you then.

Mia flips her cellphone closed and puts the cellphone back onto her hip. She walks into the classroom then over to her desk and she gathers her math textbook and notebook up. She quickly tosses her textbook and notebook into her book bag. She has just start to walk to the classroom door when she feels Mr. Armstrong hand on her left shoulder.

Mr. Armstrong: And where do you think you are going now Mia?
MIa: Isabella sick again and I have to go pick her up.
Mr. Armstrong: OK, But you have to come back to school after picking her up!
Mia: I will

Mia walks out of the classroom and head outside to her car in the parking lot. Meanwhile in Mr. Simpson class Sean, Manny and Emma are listening to Mr. Simpson talk about the group project he just assigned to group of four each. Emma is taking notes for Alex since she stays home sick and also because she is the fourth member of her, Sean and Manny group. Sean has type in a search for info about how the media influence teenage pregnancy, which is the topic Mr. Simpson assigned to they group. Manny looks over at Emma who is set in the chair by the door with her left leg up on another chair. Manny sees that Emma is unstrapping the strap on her Donjoy trom advance cool knee brace.
Manny: Em, what are you doing, you are not supposed to take the knee brace off?
Emma: I am not taking the brace off Manny’s it’s to tight so I am resize the strap so the brace fit better.
Manny: Ok, Just asking.
Sean: How mad was Mrs. Hatzilakos, because of Alex misses practice this morning?
Emma: Not that mad, because Manny and I let her know the reason she was miss practice and school was because she was really sick. Unlike Darcy who did not let anyone know she was going to miss practice and school.
Sean: Darcy just skipped practice?
Manny: Looks that way Sean.
Mr. Simpson: Sean, Emma and Manny stop talking about gymnastics practices this morning and start doing research on the group report.

Sean, Manny and Emma get to work on their research topic. At the sometime Mia pull her 1997 purple ford Probe into Apple tree daycare parking lot and she pulls into a parking space. Mia put her car into park and then she turn the car off. She set in her car for a few more seconds then gets out of the car. She shuts the door and locks her car. Then she walks into the daycare and to the toddler room. As she open the door of the toddler room Isabella comes run up to her. Mia picks up her daughter and Miss. Hope brings Isabella’s book bag over to her. Mia takes the book bag for her daughter teaches. Mia and Isabella then walk out of the toddler room and down the hallway to the exits. When they get out to the car Mia unlock the car. She then sets Isabella in her car seat and she hooks the safety harness up. She then gets into the drive seat and starts head back towards Degrassi. As Mia is pulling into Degrassi community school parking lot, Isabella starts crying and pulling on both of her ears.

Isabella: Momie ears hurt!
Mia: I know Bella let me park the car and I will get you some children Tylenol.

Mia pulls her car into a parking space. She then puts the car into park then shut it off, Mia get out of the car then walks to the truck of her car and open up her trunk. She gets the stroller out and unfolds it. She then gets the first aid kit out of the trunk and opens it up. She takes the children Tylenol out and the thermometer out. She closes the first aid kit and put it back into the truck. She close the trunk and then pushes the stroller up to the side of her car. She open up the back down behind the drive seat and puts the thermometer under Isabella right underarm. When the thermometer beeps thirty second later Mia take it out from Isabella underarm and sees that her fever is still 37.77 C (99.99 F). Mia grabs Isabella’s book bag off the car floor. She unzips the front pocket and put the thermometer into the pocket she just unzips. She takes the cap off the melt away children Tylenol and gives Isabella two tablets. Isabella puts the tables into her mouth and Mia puts the bottle of Tylenol into front pocket of Isabella’s book bag. As the tables are melting in Isabella’s mouth, Mia unhooks the safety harness on Isabella’s car seat. Mia picks up Isabella’s and put her into the stroller. She hooks Isabella into the stroller, then grabs her book bag off the passenger’s seat. She close the car door and lock her car up. She then pushes Isabella stroller into the school and the two of then head to her second hour English class with Mrs. Kwan.

It is now three o’clock in the afternoon and Claire (Darcy sister) walks into her aunt and uncle house and sees that Darcy History textbook and notebook are still laid out on the computer desk. Claire also notices that her sister shoes are still setting in the spot that she set them last night. Claire drops her book bag onto the couch then walks into the hallway and to the guests’ bedroom that Darcy and she are sharing. Claire opens the bedroom door and sees her older sister laying on the first bed. She also notices that Darcy is wearing a different pair of pajamas then she put on last night.

Claire: Darcy I know you have been excused from this afternoon gymnastics practice, because of our parent’s anniversary party. But you did have a gymnastic practice this morning and did you stay home from school today ?
Darcy: Yeah I stay home from school and yes I had gymnastics practices this morning and I did not go!
Claire: Are you sick?
Darcy: I over sleep and when I wake up this morning I was really nausea.
Claire: Are you feeling better after stay home and resting?
Darcy: No, I feel worst then I did when I wake up. I think that I might be coming down with the stomach flu.
Claire: I hope you make it through mom and dad party tonight without getting sick.
Darcy: Me too, sis.
Claire: I am going to go take a shower, you might want to get up and start getting ready for the party to Darcy!
Darcy: Yeah, I will get up in a few minutes.

Claire walks over to the closet and grabs the dress that she is wearing to the party. She then grabs a clean pair of underwear and her hair towel and a body towel. She then walks out of the bedroom closes the door behind her. Darcy gets out of bed when she hears the shower running. She walks over to the closet and gets the purple sun dress out that she is wearing to the party out. She pulls her Pajamas bottoms off and she sees bruises from the top of her leg down to her knees. When she takes off her pajama top, she sees more bruises. She puts the dress on really fast and is glad that the dress goes past her knees, but when she looks in the mirror she can see the bruise on her upper arms and her shoulders. She walks back over to the closet and grabs a purple cardigan that has 3/4 sleeve. She puts it on then buttons the bottom four buttons up, so that the cardigan does not slide down her shoulders. Darcy has finish getting dress and has just start to comb her hair when Claire walks back into the room wear her pink sun dress.

Claire: I am done in the bathroom Darcy, you can go and use it now.
Darcy: Thanks

Darcy grabs her toothbrush, toothpaste and brush then walks out of the bedroom. She then walks into the bathroom and closes the door. At the sometime she closes the bathroom door, she hears her aunt and uncle come into the house. She has just put the toothbrush into her mouth when her aunt Jen knocks on the bathroom door.
