Twelve scrunched up pieces of paper littered the floor of Alex's room, each one; confessing her love for Paige over and over again.

Eleven hours she had been awake, thinking about what she had done.

Ten calls she made; each starting and ending with voicemail.

Nine times she stood in front of the mirror; wondering how she could be so hung up over one person.

Eight whole chocolate bar wrappers across her bed; that had all been eaten in thoughts of frustration and depression.

Seven songs played over and over again; songs that had once been 'their' songs.

Six times she had gone out for a walk; every time, ending up at Paige's place.

Five photoframes placed on her bedside table, each framing them two together.

Four walls that she had so carefully tried to hide behind, now collapsed and damaged .

Three flowers that she had so specially picked out -each symbolising true love- crushed and walked upon.

Two stars in the sky; that she had wished upon.

One girl in the world that was making her go crazy.
