The ''rumors'' started a while ago. I think they're gonna make a movie when everything's gonna be done with the serie. Like they did with old Degrassi. Kevin Smith is rumored to be directing the ''upcoming'' movie. There's a tread about that somewhere in this section or in the news section if you wanna search for it

The movie was slated to air last year, 2006, after Season 4 but it was shelfed seeing as Degrassi has one more season(season 7).
