ellie - what's with the short sleeves?

so ellie was a cutter and in season 2 we see her scars, and she wears long sleeves covering them. suddenly she's wearing shorter sleeves and her exposed forearms show no signs of a former cutter-oh, when will the plotholes end?!

I hate when writers and costume do that. They forget about a character's past. That's not right.

You have to see it this way...she stopped cuttin in the middle of season 3. In Degrassi time, thats almost 2 1/2 years ago. She could of put something on it, or they could of cleared up.

you people don't know much about cutting - your forearm scars the easier and the worst and those scars (visable in the dentention episode when ellie and sean get together) aren't going away, fade yes, disappear no. and cutters (especially reformed cutters) will try to hide their scars at all costs (so unless it's 100 degrees out, she isn't going to expose her emotional baggage to all) - but hey, if you want to think that she's all healed up, that's your own business (maybe your ignorance can be degrassi's bliss)

Yeah, but you got to think about it like this-it's televison, most problems are solved within a few episodes, and then people want to move on to a newer exciting problem. Although I think that they could have develped this problem with fewer holes. --Sorry if I'm hard to follow--

I agree. And they most likely wouldn't heal all the way. I still have scars from when I cut almost two years ago.

It's more or less showing that Ellie has strayed away from her gothic fase. She's becoming more confortable. And sooner or layer her cuts will heal.

see now i personally used to cut myself, and if u put shit on them it can help reduce that scars drastically...nobdy ever notices....so i think that they could go away....just saying that from my personal experience
