i think what happened was a few parents got together and agreed that thte episodes weren't appropriate. I think they're fine but with the whole abortion issue heating up in the U.S. I don't think they wanted to piss anyone off.
Fun on all fronts.

the reason i love degrassi so much is how they don't sugar-coat things and i found it stupid when the US refused to air some episodes. i mean, compared to other shows that's infiltrating the airwaves now, it doesn't make sense.

What can I say, the US, my unfortunate homeland, likes to pretend that reality doesn't happen. Politicians think its for protection. I think its a violation. I hate that "The N" wouldn't show those episodes. I got to see them because I downloaded them. But I think it would have been a step forward for my country if they had just faced reality and aired the episodes.

Yeah, but the good news is that the season 3 dvd has been released (though it might not be in stores just yet) and that episode will be included on there, so us U.S. kids can watch it. WOOHOO.

Abortion was a VERY controversial issue in the USA between the liberals and the conservatives. Degrassi above all is suppose to be a role model for teenagers and if it's supporting abortion, it may cut out half our viewers (Because of their parents belief.) In Canada, abortion was not an issue, it was a choice they had. In the US, that's another story.

If you haven't noticed, they stoped editing the episodes at all.

diffrent ppl have diffrent opinions on stuff, if they think abortions and teenage pregnancy is unapropriate for a teen channel, then kudos to them!

JT's penis pump was focusing on his insecurities. Abortion to some is murder, and to some is a right. That's why it was so controversial. They probably would air it today, but they shouldn't backtrack that far.

Homosexuality is something you can't help. You are or you arent. Abortion is a choice that you take to kill an unborn child. People in the USA can rid abortion, but they can't rid homosexuality.
