Claude???

Hey i was watching a music video on youtube and i was just wondering some things.. like why did claude killed himself? and what did the letter that caitlin got say? if u can answer my questions it would be a big help or you can just write the whole story.. Its up 2 u.. thank you...

Hmm ... I guess it's up to me to field this question!

I had to re-watch the episode on the VCR to refresh my memory over the specifics!

Claude, or course, was a guy with a lot of issues! The main cause of it was his parent's divorce, one of which was a father that he did not get along with at all!

As if a messy divorce wasn't bad enough, when he tried reconciling with Caitlin after the two broke up with each other a year earlier, she rejected him big time!

The icing on the cake came when he auditioned for Degrassi's talent show with a very dark poem ... and was told that he wouldn't be allowed to use it because it was too depressing!

Despite all these negative moments, he pretty much kept it all to himself and let it fester to the point where he brought a handgun to school ... and pulled the trigger with the gun pointed to his head!

The transcript of Claude's letter to Caitlin is as follows:

Dear Caitlin,

I'm sure you know by now, I just couldn't stand it anymore.

I know you don't love me, but I love you. And I forgive you for the way that you treated me.

Goodbye, Caitlin.

Wherever I am, I'm thinking of you. I hope you think of me sometimes.

Love, Claude

(cue Caitlin scrunching up the letter and tossing it in anger, then doing the same with the enclosed flowers)

As a supplementary note, this incident will shed some light into Snake's blasting of Mr. Raditch over how he handled the shooting of Rick in DTNG. Snake was the first guy to discover Claude's dead body in the boys' washroom. Bearing witness to a totally bloody and mutilated face, he ran to Mr. Raditch to report the discovery and was forced to miss an indefinite period of school to overcome the trauma. No doubt, Rick's death brought back the horrid memories of this one moment when he was a high-schooler.

Yeah, Claude was a loser too..When the police caught him and Caitlin trespassing and he got away and left Caitlin behind to get arrested. Then he wasn't even mature enough to show her his support when she went to court.

Sorry to bump a pretty old post, but this subforum is less active and I wanted to reply.
Which was great but I always felt they dropped the ball a bit since Emma was having SUCH a rough time after witnessing the shooting Snake never said something directly about it.

i found Claude scary and controlling. so much like Rick in the new Degrassi. Emotionally intese and just scary.

remember Dwane? the guy with Aids? didn't Claude and him have a fight

I don't remember the fight, but Claude really reminded me of Rick from TNG.
