Thumbs up

I do! I do!

Degrassi: TNG uses professional actors! Old School uses kids plucked right off the street! As a result, the feel of the show feels more real!

That said, The Next Generation uses the one element that Old School used and other teen dramas don't ... kids who are the same age as who they're portraying!

I think it had better plots... and the actors acted better, and it wasn't as predictable.

At first when I saw The next generation I didn't really liked it because it didn't focus on that many people. Manny is hardly any part of the first episode, but they got better..

i like both shows. but i grew up on old school degrassi and yes, i agree, that with kids off of the street it was a little better. The new degrassi's shows have a more "adult" drama in them. Of course young people nowadays are more experienced now than i was back in the day, so the new shows always take me for a loop.

Have You Ever Heard The Old Saying "time Repeats Itself."

Well That Definately Holds Truth When It Comes To The Old And New Degrassi. Both Generations Had Some Very Wild Episode Topics And Even Some That Really Hit Home. I Guess Thats What Gets You Hooked On The Old And New. But Let Me Get Off Topic For A Sec, If You Do Watch The Old Degrassi Anytime Soon , Please Try To Remember To Pay Attention To The Intercom When The Principal Comes On Through Out The Day. If You Do Listen You Will Hear Some Funny Stuff Sometimes. That Was Just Alittle Info About The Old Degrassi That You Or Anybody Can Check Up On.

I would not say i like them better, but I do like watching them both. I would have to say I like the new degrassi better because I seen them first but I also like the old one to see all of the ground ups on the new one as they were youg which is cool.

That's another element in the show I loved, too ... the regular P.A. announcements that blared throughout the show while the gang were at school, usually in between scenes!

Too bad TNG never incorporated it into their series ...

Yeah the old show is a classic.
