Didn't the juinor high burn down and they they put them all in the high school, or did the high school burn down too... because if so, they did do it twice, they could have found a better way to keep all the chacters together..

You were correct the 1st time!

The season 3 finale was where DJH got burned down! It happened on the same night as the graduation dance ... and it was Tessa & Scooter who found out while they were playing tag throughout the hallway! They found the basement boiler room lit in flames, ran to the gymansium where the dance was held to inform Mr. Raditch & Ms. Avery! Everyone evacuates ... and the last thing you see as the credits roll are the flames reflecting on the school window!

Subsequently, everyone went to Degrassi High in the fall ... which DID NOT burn down either! In the series finale, the school was in dire need of a year-long renovation, so everyone had to be transferred to another high school ... and most of them were heading into their senior year! The series ended with everyone dancing at the Degrassi High year-end dance @ the gymnasium as the credits rolled!

In case you're wondering, the school that the bulk of the students transferred to was a school named "Schuyler High" (which is revealed if you pause the VCR to "School's Out" and take a glimpse @ the graduation program somebody's holding)!

Hope that clarifies everything!

yeah there is a bit in the credits of Tng that says the scripts are based on the old school degrassi adn especially S1 of Tng it was almost word for word in some episodes. they have deviated a lot from teh orginal scripts but the links are still there and strong.

And yep degrassi burnt to the ground in the early days- that's how they managed to link into Degrassi High.
