this should probably be in the news section but i can't post there and like the episode this was wonderful and hearbreaking. if deanna's leaving then season 7 better be the mother of all palex seasons ending with them going off together somewhere...or the show better just end. no alex...no thanks. paige is just as much a fav but she has the best comedy and love scenes with alex

CTV.ca: You had many scenes with Lauren Collins (Paige) in these episodes. How was it working with her as an actress?

Deanna: I love working with Lauren. I feel more comfortable working with her than anybody else.
CTV.ca: What kinds of qualities does she bring to the show that you appreciate?
Deanna: She's really down to earth and easy to get along with. We've worked with each other so much now. We know how each other works. If we have a scene together and I have to be mad at her, I won't talk to her the whole day. She gets it.
CTV.ca: What kind of thoughts do you have about Alex and Paige's relationship and how it changes over this arc?
Deanna: I think it's a great example of how young adults, when they fall in love with somebody, it's really for who that person is and not where they are from or how much money they make. They fall in love with that personality.
A high school teacher told me once that whenever she hears one of her students saying they've fallen in love with anyone that she would feel nervous. That love can be a lot stronger because it's not restrained.
That's what's cool about the Alex-Paige relationship. If it was 10 years later and they were adults, I don't think they would find each other. And if they did find each other they wouldn't really go for each other.
CTV.ca: What is your favorite part about playing the role of Alex?
Deanna: Just being able to do what I love. It's great that I've been given lots of challenges on this show. I'm exploring what I can do as an actress, and I'm learning my own personality as an actress.
CTV.ca: What's next for you in your acting career?
Deanna: This is the very tip of the iceberg; at least I hope it is. I think after this season, season seven, I'll be leaving the show. I'm planning on moving to Los Angeles in September.
I'm halfway done a degree in philosophy with a minor in social psychology, and I'm leaving that behind for now. I would like to finish my degree because I love learning. But I'm too busy right now.

thanx for the interview! I hope Deanna will have some big Hollywood role so we'll see her over and over again for years! and she'll bring along with her all the Degrassi actors! yay!!

sadly i think that's what's gonna happen. it'll be the second half of the school year. from what i can tell we are somewhere around february. i'm guessing that paige's "will you be my sweetheart" means its valentines day. which is weird cause each season has been a year.

if it's not the last i hope deanna makes the right choice. don't want to see her mixed into the group of actors who left their popular show to seek fame that never came. ie. jason priestly, david carusso...the show won't be the same without alex anyways. i think she's got a shot at a career outside degrassi though. at least another tv series. and lauren for sure will do great things, she was good in 'take the lead' very un-paige like.

i agree they should make an 8 and Deanna should make the right choice!! lol and wow didnt think of that it prob is Valentines day, sweetheart, roses.. why dnt i think of these things?? lol

Well good guess about February. Considering they had their exams not so long ago, they're on their 2nd semester. so yay, valentines day.
I don't think season 6 will end up as a Palex. Paige will probably break Alex's heart like Alex broke her heart at the end of next season. And then, they'll be together in season 7. well hopefullly

i dunno, theyve been goin back and forth for 5 epis(4 acc having to do with them but they even talked bout Paige n Jesse in 617) i think by the end of 619 they will b 2gether lol

i'm still holding onto some hope. this lingering hope is based solely on the fact that "don't you want me" is one of my favorite songs and the lyrics just fit for them to be together.

You're right, and it'd be terrific if they were together (even though it'd be a real torture 'til next season!). I guess we're only going to discover that tomorrow noght. Or the day after tomorrow, cuz 10h30 is a bit late when you have a math test the day after, so...

lol i understand you, but i could never wait for an epi, lol the only time i didnt watch ittill the next day was Free Fallin Part 1, i was soooo sick and it was like 10, and id have 2 wait till 3 for Kaitylin from degrassi-tng.com to put it up and i was falling asleep at the comp lol, but the next week i had midterms, but i stayed up anyway, lol acc it was put up lik 3:30, my stupid comp took forever downloading it, then i watched it 2wice so by the time i went to sleep it was 5 lol, i kno im weird... but luckily theve been putting the epi up at 11ish, ok im babbling , i just reall really hope your still coming to Marco and Dylans this weekend-Paige haha

Ahah! Well turns out that I just CAN'T wait tomorrow! It's 10h15 and the last 15 minutes are litteraly torturing me! I just can't imagine what will happen! I read like... thousands of fan speculations in the last week and almost everything seems realistic to me! ans hopefully you won't have to wait until 3 to watch the season final!
