I've been travelling on business, but also came down with a really bad cold or flu that hung on for weeks, which is why I haven't been here on the boards so much. But back healthy now, and for a while anyway not travelling so much anyore.

I'm still Chair of the Juno Awards, we had a press conference yesterday to announce all the nominees.

We've been having meetings with The N and CTV about the new seasons--still haven't been ordered yet, it's all complicated because of both the ACTRA strike (we had to cancel some promo shoots for both Degrassi and The N, some cool stuff that would have appeared on The N but now won't, because of the strike) and because of the funding crisis relating to the Canadian Television Fund, which is a major contributor to our production funding. But we are proceeding with writing nd other creative activities full steam ahead--and in fact on Instant Star we held a songwriters camp last week to get the songwriting started for Season 4. And on Degrassi we've had some major brainstorming about the overall direction the show should take this year...

awwww...it looks like because of the strike and funding we are missing a lot of neat stuff. It would have been nice to see some promos and new pictures.

What is the strike all about?

Leave something like this to happen just when my fav characters are returning, lol! We've waited close to a year and now the strike happens just as the new promo's should have come out.....oh well....another obstacle....I'm glad they are looking ahead. I hope they get picked up soon.

yeah because we all know that would be crappy, if it doesn't and it's left as a cliffhanger... talk about unfinished business.

lol..if that happens there are going to be A LOT of angry fans. Hopefully everything will resolve itself.
