Today Executive Producer Stephen Stohn confirmed that The N will indeed most likely be at least starting to air Season 6 before CTV who, as reported earlier, is airing Season 6 of Degrassi later this season. Read his post below:

"My understanding is that The N may start airing Degrassi Season 6 in their normal startng time of October..."

That's retarded. I was hoping that wasn't true

blame CTV for this one! they just gave Degrassi the boot in the scheduling. now we get to see it on the-n true, but we have to suffer with possible editing senses which sux.

Yeah, CTV made a huge mistake. And now I'm not gonna enjoy it as much as I normally do because I'm gonna constantly be thinking there's a scene missing somewhere...

its all because of that other show I think its dancing with the stars or somthing like that :'(

ya I find its weird, its always been CTV befor The N. Plus its even filmed in Canada and ppl in USA get to see it first befor us

yeah, i said in another post that the americans would finally be the ones to upload the show for the canadians and then once it airs in canada, the canadians are gonna be like WTF! and then they would have to turn around and upload for the americans. So you see, it just leaves more work for all of us.

let's just hope the-n dosn't edit too much out of the episodes and pray that they don't edit anything at all... wishful thinking...

They are calling it the 'most provocative and daring season yet', so yes, I am a bit concerned about the censorship here in the U.S.

i guess the ONLY advantage i see out of it is that i won't have to worry about coming across spoilers before i see an episode...

i knew paige and alex where gonna break up the day after i saw lexicon of love, so that was kinda of a mood killer...

You know, I didn't even think of that. Yeah, it will be better in that sense. I hate spoilers and yet I can't help but read them and then you lose the mood completely. That's so right.

The Exec updated today, clearing up how The-N and CTV will air the seasons this fall:

"OH, and a note to Canadians, we are told that DWTS will complete sometime in November, so that means a November start for Degrassi in Canada, so even if The N starts first, because CTV will air two episodes a week it won't take that long to catch up and then CTV will be ahead again. Not that it's a compeittion!!"

Ah thats going to be weird. For once I will not be the one ahead, I'll actually be behind(since I don't watch it on the N except for after I've seen the original). My friends had no clue why until I told them it was edited.

That's good news, but the whole thing still sucks!! I mean... for the first time we (CA) have a good show, they stuck it in the basement for another stupid show to air!
2 episodes a week is cool, but still, it won't follow the normal course of time... like... It would be almost Christmas before we see the 1st ep

Not sure, I haven't seen the N version(Barbara was in Hawaii-did I mention I hate her sometimes? J/K) Maybe someone else knows?

i guess that's kind of cool, but i don't want to watch edits and i've become so accustomed downloading. ehh. i'll be happy when it goes back to normal.
