Season Six Confirmed

The Executive Producer Stephen Stohn posted on the Degrassi website yesterday that Degrassi TNG's season 6 renewal has been confirmed by CTV. The only question is how many episodes, he than added the only sure thing is there will be at least 13. Speculation suggests the reason for a possible lower number of episodes is that they will be filming the movie in tandem with Season 6. His full post is below:

"We have just received official word that there will be a Season 6 of Degrassi! The exact number of episodes is still being discussed, but it will be at least 13!"

I heard about it when I got the jay and silent bob do degrassi DVD. I don't think you can really get your hands on it though.

ya degrassi is very cool i don't want it to end!! but they need to get better ideas because kinda the same as the old school one but more dramatic

They're probably going to build college sets. They can't get rid of great charcters like Paige and Marco.

YES! and YES!...HECK YES TO THE MOVIE(first ive heard of it)....hmmmm....Yes! season 6, yeah, im curious to how they are going to do it 2...but if u think about it they can show some of them in college...and some of them in highschool still...b/c when they do an episode they really focus on one or two groups of friends...and i think maybe if they find a way to keep that group of friend together they can film it...hmmm but we shall all find out

I think in season six there going to mostly stay with Emma, Manny and Peter because there the only ones left

I think they will show Manny,Emma,Peter,Spinner(Spinner gotheld back remember) and then they will just show Alex and Paige because they are not going to collage along with Toby, Liberty,JT and then I dont know about the other people but I heard this was the Last season so we will see what happens?.?.? I dont want it to be the last season though!!!......

Well they are doing another movie (ala Schools's Out) so it just might be the last season.....wait until the end of six when pretty much everyone is graduated then end it....

Ya gotta remember six years is a long time to be playing a character!

Sweet!!! I cant wait to see what they do either. I wonder what they'll pull out of their hats. That always push the envelope... hopefully they can top season 5, but it'll be hard.

Thank God i live in canada... cant wait for season six.. but i wonder if it will be a mix of collage years for paige,hazel,alex,marco,ellie,and them with high school for manny emma peter spinner and darcy..just my thoughts
