Feedback needed on a little matter

Alright as most of you know, last month we had to move to a new server. Well this site must be a more well known than I thought, the server is going to need upgraded to handle some of the load from downloading. This means it's going to cost more money to run this place then it already does. So heres where the issue comes in.

Option #1 I really don't like having ads on the site, personally I find they look ugly and kill the page, but they do bring in some money to help cover the cost of the site when members click on them. If I would place he ads on, they wouldn't be large and all over the place like you see with some sites. They would be in one spot.

Option #2 Second thing, if I would setup something where say you get some extra options like more PM space, degrassi email accounts, private forums etc would anyone make a small donation of $5?

Option #3 Do both of these, if someone donates money they get an ad free option so they don't display ads at all.

Also I have other things planned for the site, but i'll take longer if I have to save up the money myself without a little bit of help

I'm trying to keep this site fast and up to date, but doing this does cost money.

Also keep in mind, this site will always be free to use and download to everyone, these are just options that would help cover the cost of the site.

Any feedback or suggestions anyone might have would be great.

I say 3, but get quiet ads, like adsense (Google).

I say 1. Only because most of the members here(im just guessing) don't have access to a credit card. I don't mind ads at all and I think that its a nice way to get money.

i agree with hers...option 1..because alot might not be able to get credit cards like she says..

Even if most members can't get a hold of a credit card, why not offer it? I mean even if two or three people buy some pm space it helps.

Here's one more question I have. What extras would you want for donating $5.00 to the site?

I'd be happy to donate $5 just for the luxury of being able to download episodes. I think that the people who upload those episodes are so selfless and nice to take the time to do that. I'd have no problem paying something.
