Hi. I live in Orlando, Florida, and have been searching for this for a while. A lot of audio players these days run around $40, but i can't find one that supports ogg files. My GF has entrusted me with finding one for her, and so far, I have had no luck. I know about the iRivers, the Cowons and others, but they are high-end (read pricey) multimedia players, and she is only interested in something less than $100 bucks. --it's for work-out and basic music listening purposes. Any one knows of a good one that I can propose to her? Thanks in advance!

Not an area I know much about, but I did some quick Googling and found this, which suggests that various Samsung and iRivers under 50 pounds support OGG. Which should be roughly equivalent to $100 at a guess. MP3 Players Ogg Vorbis £10 - £50 - Shopping and Price Comparison -

Sorry Rasczak, buy I fail to see your point... I don't need a new file format; I like my music in .ogg, the quality is good, and I don't feel like spending endless hours converting ogg to mp3, which will INEVITABLY result in loss of quality. I just need a small audio player -not a big flashy one- that runs around $40 or so... So far, the only ones that are available, and don't look like they came from the Stone Age, are the really high-tech, well-over-a-hundred dollars, ones.

Samsung U3 is a good media player that plays OGG. The thing is it uses a Microsoft transfer protocol, so if you're using Amarok you might have to tweak, but Rythmbox recognizes it out of the box. In the Windows world, it's pretty much compatible.
