| I am definitely. I was trying to resist not to install it, but installed the latest RC upgrade from Gutsy Gibbon. I didn't keep up with the changes during development and I'm pretty surprised how good it is. Very impressive. The Ubuntu team did an outstanding job. |

| Being unable to wait 2 days I just installed the RC version. I haven't used Ubuntu for a couple of years and this is quite impressive. I've resisted installing because I think I've been being a bit elitist and trying to get some slackware distros running on my travelmate. After many hours of frustration, Heron just installed and works flawlessly. Bravo ![]() |

| The server is down because everyone is trying to download it. I'm stuck at 7.10 (cant update). This is probably one of the most anticipated releases yet, though from what I've read it's not nearly as large of a jump as some of their previous versions. Mostly bugfixes and minor changes I imagine, though firefox beta is in the repo. |

| I upgraded from 7.10 last evening and all went well, though Firefox is behaving a little odd, but I think that has to do with the browser itself and not th OS. I'm happy with 8.04. |

I updated, but ended up having a screenres too low. Seems like it can't get in touch with my card, but it shouldn't be a problem. After all, the 7.10 worked as it should. | |

| Eligible for a custom title | Well, no hardy heron for me yet. I think i'll wait until july, where the supposed 8.04.1 LTS is released. I can't get my graphics card up and running. I've tried everything from console, restricted drivers, manuel installation of nvidias donwloadable drivers to ENVY. Nothing helps, it just sucks, even on a clean install. So i've gone back to a clean install of 7.10 with rt-kernel, which works flawless in any way. Bummer. |

| I'm going to wait a bit just yet and see what goes on with those who have it . Besides I somewhat dug a hole for myself in the original installation of 710. I used Amd 64 instead of i386 thinking this machine was the same as the other..So on occasion while leaving my OS on the graphics card has a coronary, looks like someone slashed my screen a zillion times..I could back up and re-install but Adobe was a sure drag to get installed with 710 in order to view video footage on-line.. For the moment I am laying low.. Sherri |
