Default Dreamlinux - anyone tried it?

I'm fetching the dreamlinux iso at the moment. You know, just to have it to experiment with, for a rainy day.

Have anyone here tried it, and is it recommendable?

What's good and whats bad?

Ok.

Is there a possibility that i can implement real time kernel in dreamlinux. I've kinda gotten used to using it, due to several things such as jackqtl, vkeybd and music stuff like that.

Also the usb plug 'n' play function tends to be more dependable, using rt-kernel.

I don't know about the rtkernel, but there is a new version 3 beta, just been released, it now is solely based on Debian, & uses a Gnome or XFCE DE. The whole distro has been rebuilt, & is now modular, which is highly likely due to the MKDistro app' which inspired the creation of DL.

One of DL's goals is to be as simple as possible to use. It is highly influenced by OS X.

Have a look at their web site? If you have I just wasted my time... :-)

If you know what you're doing, yes. You can mod linux all you want. I don't know if it actually comes with dreamlinux or if it's explicitly supported though.

Ok, tried it, but didn't like it. I feel a lot is missing; volumecontrol on desktop. A lot of software is missing in the repo's it seems. Shiny surface, but no functionality. No complete danish languagepack, alright i know it's brazilian, but never the less, native language means a lot.

Moving on to an other dist.
