Default Google phone

The are many news articles on this, here's just one...

Quote:
...Engadget notes that Google bought mobile software company Android in 2005, and the team from there “has developed a Linux-based mobile device OS (no surprise) which they’re currently shopping around to handset makers and carriers on the premise of providing a flexible, customizable system—with really great Google integration, of course”.

Would you have interest in this phone?

Not at the moment. I just want to be able to call people.

I'll take a phone from Google rather than Apple... I'm pretty much Googled up to the hilt. I use most of their products from email through to browser sync.
The thought of being able to carry all of this around in my pocket would be a clincher for me.

I don't mind a few adds if it keeps the costs down
