Default Re: What's the uptime of your computer(s) ?

not a problem at all, my lad.

I have a very complex workstation.
5 computers in single workstation might seem a little overboard, but to me it is not. Every computer has its different uses, and each one helps out on my Home Network. If I am working on something for my site then I would do it on my MBP. If i want to IM and do a little myspace and such, id do it on another.

Maybe its just that Its fun to show off 5 screens to all my friends ^_^. although, five keyboards and five mouses didnt really work for me, so i set up a automatic KVM switch, that connects to each computer simutaniously. This way, I use a single mouse and keyboard for every computer, and have it switch back and forth automatically when I move my mouse from one screen to another. Oh, and the mouse disappears when it does ^_^ so it looks like a mulitmonitor setup as well ^_^ (except my Ubuntu machine, the mouse CANT disappear =\).

I have a seperate 20" widescreen Cinema display for each computer. My labtops (dell inspiron, toshiba sattelite, and MBP connect to them as well, well hidden in a draw

I share everything on every computer on my network. This is cool, because I can have a CD in my PC and see it and play it in my MPB, all without touching my optical drive in my MPB in the draw ^_^.

Its very complicated, and there is much more to my setup...If you would like, I can explain everything in a seperate post, in more detail and in vauge dialog.

I'm on a laptop and I generally shut it down at night, so no jaw-dropping uptimes for me.

this one never gets turned off been going for 5 months now,has an ups hooked to it so if the power goes out it has time for the generater to auto start.
at times like this ,i should have gone fishing 24 hours in a day,24 stubbies in a carton, coincidence.?

I saw a sign that said:-caution small children playing,so i slowed down.then i remembered i am not scared of small children
