| Just getting started | I've been able to get 30-40KB/s down and 30KB/s up. Our ISP tells us we should get 256KB/s down and 128KB/s up, but I've heard that the farther away you are from the ISP, the slower the connection on DSL. With Cable it just depends on how many users are on the same line up to the junction box. The more users downloading, the slower the connection. |

| Less than 3 miles from the sea | I know what I get, I also know what I would like... 4Meg down and 600K up is what I get. You might be surprised that it's not out right download speed I'm after. What I would really like is the same up as down... 4Meg is fast enough, I guess for my needs I just wish I could upload just as fast. UK cable from Virgin Media, Cost £25 per month. |

| OK, here is what I take to download a CD ISO: 1-2 days( almost consecutive, have to pause a few minutes once in a while) DVD ISO: It scares me to even think about trying it :'( Though I will someday. :/ Extreme Coder |
