ok, was advised to restart the system and reset the Bios default values...haven't done yet as i am sure this forum has really really good computer peeps, wanted your feed back before doing so.
Was told that it's an error at Start-up, the reason for having to reset the values, your opinions? Sound like i've been given the proper advice?

I ran your error in google. There are lots of answers. The ones I've looked at were for Microsoft Windows. So Windows or Linux ?

what i don't understand with all this is that 2+ hours ago i couldn't get access to anything, just showed the screen regarding the boot, so i shut computer down, left it for an hour or so, and it came right up as normal.

The problem could be a number of things it's hard to tell from here exactly what it is. Your hard drive couldbe failing so you should backup any important files you need. Do you have any spare hard drives you can swap and test?

Go into BIOS and make sure that the boot-up sequence is correct. Do you have more than one hard drive plugged in?

as for BIOS, what would a correct boot-up sequence look like and/or read?

You want the one and only hard drive you have to be first. Later you may want to make it second and make the CD/DVD drive first. This way you can boot from a CD if needed but for now make it first until this is resolved.

To find out you're going to have to open up your case.

Look carefully at the cables coming out from the hard drive. If it's an IDE it will look like this. If it's a SATA it will look like this.
