Default Your setup

  • 3.2 ghz Pentium 4 w/ HT
  • 512mb PC3200 generic memory (just never got around to upgrading)
  • 80GB 7200RPM Western Digital HDD
  • 120GB 7200RPM Seagate HDD
  • SB Audigy 2 ZS Platinum
  • GeForce4 MX4000 64mb (my ATI 9600XT busted and had this laying around)
  • NEC DVD±RW 8x
  • Lite-ON 16x DVDRom
  • 19" Gateway VX900 CRT

I use it mostly for audio recording and mixing. The CPU runs great when I've got a dozen tracks loaded with various effects running through each one. Memory is severely lacking when I have more than one plugin loaded. Never really got into games and the only ones I really play anymore are 5-7 years old, so really don't care about the graphics card right now.

Edit: forgot, I boot WinXP Pro and usually some Ubuntu derivative

Toshiba Equium M70-377

Ubuntu Linux 7.04/Sabayon Linux 3.3/WinXP Home triple boot.
Intel® Pentium® M processor 735A @ 1.7Ghz
512MB Ram
Intel 915GM Express Graphics with upto 128Mb Stolen memory
Dodgy onboard audio
40Gb internal HD + 160Gb External HD
15.4" LCD @ 1280x800
Occasional Dell IR Mouse
16x DVD-RW

Sabayon is booted from the external HD, which is also where I keep the live image of my current Ubuntu system. WinXp is still there because, well I don't know why really. FreeBSD was on my system, but now had bitten the dust.
