Lol I think Linux is getting more and more of a threat to Microsoft each year, where the hell do these ideas, do they actually believe what they say?

It's a shame really, all Microsoft had to do to be a likable company is be humane, tolerant and be able to laugh with themselves..

What is "Linux"?

I'm sorry but these were too funny:

Quote:
People do not want ODF (Open Document Format), but they want a way to control the information they create, he claimed.
Quote:
"We have thousands of pages, thanks to the Department of Justice. There's no lack of clarity on what cheating could be. When I joined Microsoft, I spent a week in antitrust training to know exactly what the boundary conditions were," he said.

"The goal for Flash is a rich web experience. That's also our target for WPF and WPF-E. I'm just hoping we give it a real name as WPF-E just doesn't roll off the tongue. It's not for us to be Flash, but it's for a million people to develop WPF-E applications," he said.
HA!

Maybe he meant: people want a way to be locked in to one propreitary format which isn't compatible with any other software or of the same, but never version software?

It is ironic that the article was published on an Apache hosted Website written in PHP.

The guy seems to be twisting the meaning of free to mean gratis, free is about what you as a user can do with the software. It isn’t about living in a hippy community, writing software for no monetary reward.

I don’t dislike Microsoft in general, but this guy makes me want to vomit.

With statements like that, it is no secret what the Microsoft Linux Lab operation is all about. I think that the likes of Ballmer and Hilf are doing Microsoft's competition more good than harm, keep up the denial, looks good on you.

This guy is a donut. The Commerical businesses like Ubuntu still use the GPL and they giving the world frist class software to anyone who disires it for free - That Open Source in a nutshell,

Novell fully support the GPL O.K Novell own most of the key software used in a Linux distro but that I good thing. It good that we have KDE and GNOME as standards. but it still free to the end user - I NOT talking about SUSE Enterprise but Linux or other Enterprise class distros in general

They had credibility? Even DOS is a largely copied from CP/M. Microsoft can hardly talk about Close Source rights when it comes to the Linux Kernal.
