Default IRC Users?

I've been idling IRC for what seems like a lifetime; it used to be alot of fun but there are rarely more than 5 active users in my oldschool channel. Anyone hang around freenode just to bullshit, if you will? Check us out at #altschule

Does anyone here use any other IRC networks?

I use Undernet, which has typically 35,000 channels on the go at any time, and the LSpace network, which only has 5 channels.

Undernet, unlike freenode is a very old and highly unregulated network, where you can set up a channel for anything. As a result, there are some very dodgy channels for things like warez, mp3 sharing, movie sharing etc.

it could be best described as a 'wild west red light district' of IRC. It was set-up in the early 90's, and grew very fast.

I'm usually on irc.msgplus.net alot. It's the Messenger Plus IRC network.
You can obtain support for Messenger Plus there, and talk on the #mybb channel.
There's quiet a few channels there also

I used to IRC a lot. However I found it to be a tad bothersome. Now I communicate through email

Yeah, #altschule and #social-discussion seem to be growing a little more with a mixture of people from #ubuntuforums and many different places... Some of you guys should come shoot some bull with me, ETS and Toxicity =]
