Default GCSE Results

I suppose that a few people on the forum will be getting their GCSE results today. I'm setting up this thread for discussion about GCSE results and GCSE's in general.

I got ...

2 A*'s in Science Double Award.
4 A's in History, Maths, Statistics, IT and Business Communication.
3 B's in Business Studies, English Language and English Literature.

Congratulations! They're good results.

Are you going to continue and do your A-levels? With your current GCSE results, you'd be foolish not to.

Thankyou.

Yes, I'm going to do either physics/chemisty/maths/history or biology/chemisty/maths/history; as of present I am undecided. I suppose I could do all sciences but apparently many Uni's favour people with both sciences and arts.

EDIT: Heh, I'm a little bit drunk. I'm going out later.

Depends which universities you're applying to, and which sort of course you're doing. The ancient and redbrick universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester, Edinburgh, the various London universities, Durham, St. Andrews) tend to show little desire for a mix of sciences and arts. If you're doing a science course, they want science A-levels. You can show how fantastic you are in art and music and history in your GCSEs.

Have fun with the booze. Take a bit of water with it every so often.
