Default My Jeep Laredo!

I love my jeep laredo..what I was not thinking because it was such an excellent purchase is..the quality of speed. I have owned many vehicles over the years and only a handful with speed, the last one being my 95 cougar V8 engine..wow Giddy Up Horsey and it did. Had that passing gear, even with 165,000 miles plus that baby tilled into the pavement and moved at a brisk touch of my foot. Talk about putting metal to the petal..it was grand..I truly loved that..you know..like coming up to a green light and in front of you directly is an elderly gentleman that for the life of me I cant figure out..but he then steps on the breaks. Happens many times, I hope I dont get that senile when I am older driving. I dont hug bumpers so when I see them do this..I hate it..so that passing gear in the cougar was like a jet flying around the disturbed elderly's vehicle. Now? with the jeep..no V8..well lets just say I am grinding to the floor to get speed. A real drag on the highway.

I love it for camping and other family outings..but forgot to look into the V8 engine portion when purchasing. maybe thats why we made such a killing on it dont know. Anyhoo, I have paid off 3 vehicles and 3 homes in my lifetime..I am done with payments as much as my life will allow, so when this baby is paid of..vehicle number 4 to be paid off that is..it may follow me to death us do part.

Sure miss that V8..but I go get hyped riding my Atv, breaks the anomoly of my the day to day living.

Ah, the luxury of having a car

I'm currently looking for a car. It's a bit hard these days, riding the bike everywhere all the time. The past two weeks or so, i haven't had much time to do anything, as my two youngest kids practice soccer tuesday and thursday. So i would really like a car to drive them around with. Riding the bike is ok i suppose, but with activities in the weekend and my wife working every saturday, it gets harder to fulfill the boys' need of transport.

I don't think that i can afford a jeep though
..........And on the first night, god made coffee!

I'm thinking about buying a Honda Fit.

From what I've read so far, they appear to be economical, sensible vehicles. If I can fit my 6'4" frame in it comfortably, I'll be trading in my Saturn.

I'm not a car guy. For me, vehicles are like clothes. Get what fits comfortably and meets the requirements. Cars are for A to B transportation.

I actually sat in a Toyota Yaris, its priced about the same. I fit well in that car, but it doesn't have the favorable reviews the Honda does.

I've even considered buying a good scooter. That would be a hell of a karma trip if I did. I remember I used to always see this same guy on a scooter, on this same section of road where he couldn't get off to the side, so he'd slow traffic a bit - and I'd lay on the horn, and he'd flip me off. Good times. I wish I wouldn't have done that now.

great, maybe you should alter your title to "Karma Cowboy" instead of "stirrer of shit"

I think if i had the choice, i would go for a morris mini, i always have had something for this kind of car. Also the volvo amazon is appealing to me. I like the shapes of these cars far more than the more modern cars.

Geezzzz Ras..6'4 your huge..

I thought my husband was tall, 6'3, . Hey now see...I like this burnt orange color here..that and the gold colors too. No-one I know likes this color..I am thinking..how could you not? My cougar was gold but I saw a firebird for sale once and it was the same color as this Honda and I loved it. It wasnt practical for a family at the time and it was $4,000, but understand it was a 70's vehicle. The color really attracted me outside the fact of practically on the collectors edge.

The thing is..I do love taking my mom/stepdad/ baby and my daughter all out in the jeep, we have a blast. I will more than likely go camping this year by myself so I still need all the space in the back of my jeep it offers..I always wanted a full size van when I was married early on with my children but couldnt get one..

now..its a jeep thing..he-he..
