I was just curious as to what sort of first cars people had, my first car was a 1.0 litre ford fiesta, drove like it was made of cardboard but you could go round the world before needing to refill its tank ![]()

hairy_Palms, mine was almost the same - 1987 suzuki forsa. Little three cylinder dealy, they call it a 1.0 litre but on the engine it says 993 cc. I bought it when I was 16 for $500 (CDN), and drove it to university 5000 km away when I was 20. Didn't last long in the Ontario winter, sad to say...

1964 Chevr Impala-blue. Chevrolet Impala - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Mine had 283ci v-8 engine which I rebuilt and bored out to a 301. That puppy hummed. I bought it from a school teacher while I was in the Navy, stationed in California. The car was beautiful.

1967 Chev Bel Air 4 door. Didn't know it was white 'till I washed it 3 months later! Red interior (when you could see it through all the stuff!) and sounded like a Sherman tank most of the time. Cops even stopped me but 'cause I'm a girl I could play dumb about the muffler and tail pipe having been torn off. Back then the fines for not having a driver's license and valid registration was only 60 bucks and I was getting caught about once per week. I don't miss those days at all!

My first car was a Fiat Panda - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The first generation. That car was so small ![]() Got it from a couple of days work. At least if someone asked I could say I had a black italian car (Ferrari, Lamborghini etc.) 903 cc What a lot of power Now I'm car-free. And it's good not having all those expenses.

| Less than 3 miles from the sea | Mine was a Ford Escort, MKI 1300 XL or something. Red with a red interior. Remember vinyl seats on a summers day?!? ![]() The only picture I could find was of a model... Plenty of pictures of the sports versions, like the Mexico. I wish... |
