Why do sociopaths exist? You are still assuming that poor little Sherman was completely innocent in this because he is a kid. I think to be realistic, you have to acknowledge that there is either:
A.) a possibility he is just like other, older murderers - 'just plain evil' to start with if you want to put it that way; or
B.) a possibility that ALL murderers, rapists, etc are just victims when it comes down to it.
In either case, I see little to suggest he should be treated differently to others because of his age.
