The meters vary in prices.. from the $100's on up..just depends..but you can get free meters from almost any company if your indeed diabetic..its the supplies that run expensive..

Hi, delilaljed44!

I agree!! Why can that cheap tightwad stingy manager see that it was a life-&-death situation, and that the 2 nurses and the officer did what they had to do to try to keep the woman from dying? If it was me, I'd want them to do the same thing!

I'm also a diabetic, and if I go too long without any food in my stomach, my glucose level also starts to get dangerously low. And I've also had those attacks many, many, many times!!

I become weak, dizzy and start sweating profusely! It happened about a month ago on the way home. Twice!! I had to buy some food at a concession stand, eat it while sitting on a bench, and then I had to sit there for 15 minutes until my strength came back!!! If some kid wanted to rob me or beat me up, I would not have had the strength to fight him off!

This is a very serious thing, and that manager should not have taken this lightly, because had he tried to stop the woman from
receiving immediate medical attention, she might have died and he would have been held liable and sued by her family!!

Man: "You're running at 1550. The house is lit" Little Boy: "Mom, can we keep him?"
