Then again I think the whole concept of fashion (a massive industry built around the desire to look good/trendy in the eyes of other people) is more than a touch idiotic. Certainly a large percentage of what gets shown on the catwalks in fashion shows, which get brief coverage in TV news, seems to look equally as silly as wearing your pants half way down your ass.
I'm personally more interested in comfortable clothes that I like, than worrying about the perceptions of others. |
There you go again, saying something perfectly agreeable. In my life I've seen bell bottoms, or whatever they're called in fashion, then it went clear to the tapered leg pants, and now its full circle back to bell bottoms. To hell with trying to keep up. It just seems silly watching these kids wear stuff they think is cutting edge, when I can remember when it was the thing, then I can remember when the same stuff would have made them look like a dork.
The nice thing about getting older and settled down (and/or thinking for yourself) is not having to worry about what other people think.
The other thing that is funny is the people standing in line to get holes punched through various parts of their body so they can flaunt their individuality.
